Ideal for country walks along the river Dee, with the historic bridge, great accessible fishing and picturesque racecourse surrounded by the Welsh hills.
There are two pubs in the village, both within a minutes walk. “The Royal Oak” and “The Buck”. The “Middle shop” opposite the cottage is Ideal for all of your essential needs.

With two bedrooms the property is great for friends looking to explore what the north of Wales has to offer, a small family looking for an ideal base for their holiday or simply to put your feet up after a busy day at the races.

There’s nothing more cosy after a day out than stoaking up the fire, making some hot chocolates, putting your feet up, getting snug by the fire, sharing stories about the day or watching Netflix on the Tv.
In an ideal location near the boarder of England, Shropshire and Cheshire with great road access to Wrexham (5 miles) with its popular football club, Chester (18 miles) a lovely historic roman city which is one of the best in the north, or for something a little more scenic head to Llangollen (14 miles) a world famous welsh village with its steam railway for a great experience of what Wales has to offer.
The property is extremely cosy with the main bedroom boasting a lovely king size bed and the second being a large double.
Both with luxurious 100% Goose down duvet/pillows with 300 thread 100% cotton bedding, you’ll find the sleeping here a luxurious experience.
Our spacious bathroom boasts a large near flush shower tray and powerful shower mixer.
Please also enjoy our range of organic handmade ‘Highland Soap Company’ hand wash, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils you would ever need.
Parking is free and readily available on the road just outside the property.
We are happy to accommodate early check in or late check out depending on our reservations.

During the warmer months of the year the beds are supplied with a light 4.5 tog goose and feather down duvet to keep you cool during the hot nights, and for the colder months we supply our beds with a 15 tog goose and feather down duvet to keep you snug when it gets cold.
If however for any reason you would prefer one over the other just let us know before your stay and we'll be sure to accommodate.

Winifred Cottage is ground floor only, the upstairs part of the building is a separate dwelling adjoining the property.
