Park for free

This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.
Relax and enjoy the outdoors in this idyllic location with stunning views and forest walks.
Despite being only 20 minutes drive from the Severn Bridge it feels beautifully remote and secluded, with wild countryside on the doorstep. Some days not a single car will pass the house, although likely a few horses, and you may share your morning cup of tea with wild rabbits right outside the windows.
Sleeps up to 5, with flexible sleeping options for different combinations of family and friends.

The space
Recently renovated specifically for holiday stays, including:
* spaces for your luggage, if you’re someone who likes to unpack or live out of your bag
* plenty of space for your whole group to hang wet coats and store muddy shoes in the porch
* USB plug sockets in every room so you can charge your devices anywhere
* lots of spaces in the bathroom for everyone to have their wash bags to hand
* a good selection of books, maps, games and DVDs, to plan adventures or enjoy evenings in
* Garage space to store up to 4 adult bikes or use as a drying space
* Use of parasol, deck chairs and children’s garden games.

Guest access
The whole house and private garden areas will be yours for your stay. No access to the surrounding field / paddock, as it may have sheep grazing and some areas are unsafe for children.

Other things to note
Be ready to embrace the remote! The joys of quiet roads, clear bird song and dark night skies all stem from the same reasons that it can be a challenge to get a delivery, a complete pain if you realise you've run out of milk while you're still in your pyjamas, and the WiFi can slow down a little if there's a particularly big storm. The rewards outweigh the practicalities, but let us know if you have any questions about this before you book and we'll give you honest answers.

Neighborhood highlights

The house is on the edge of Wentwood forest, with the forest café within strolling distance, or explore further with excellent forest walks and mountain biking tracks. For a sunset walk there’s the option to disappear straight from the house, hardly setting foot on a road, to the top of the hill for panoramic views to the south west and out over the Bristol Channel.
Locally you can explore historic Chepstow Castle or the Roman Amphitheatre at Cearleon. It is an excellent gateway to the Brecon Beacons and beyond, or around 40 minutes drive to Cardiff.
