Beautiful area
Guests love this home’s scenic location.
One mile from Raglan this little house is seriously comfortable. A great base for anyone visiting the Welsh borders. It has its own garden but there is plenty more garden, a pond and an orchard to explore and relax in. The wildlife and night skies here are spectacular!
Well equipped with a huge sofa, WiFi, TV and Netflix. The bathroom has a bath as well as a shower. If there is anything you need just ask the owner who lives next door.
The space
Inside Wi-fi, Netflix, board games, books, huge sofa and very comfortable beds. Outside garden, hammock, wild flower banks, pond, orchard (apple, pear, cherry, crab apple, plum, damson and greengage trees), Norwegian steel chimney/BBQ and a herb garden.
Wild flowers, butterflies, birds and pond life are abundant here. As well as common garden birds, great spotted woodpeckers, green woodpeckers and nuthatches are regular visitors. I keep records of flora and fauna encountered in the garden and love doing identification safaris with guests. Binoculars, owl hoot, bat detector and reference books are available to borrow.
If you enjoy drawing or painting please mention it and I can provide you with watercolours, brushes, Sennelier oil or chalk pastels and paper.
Self-catering breakfast - Bread, butter, eggs, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, mini Tiptree preserves, Marmite and honey.
Shampoo, conditioner, bath/shower gel, hand sanitiser and anti-bac soap provided.
Guest access
Waterloo Too and its own garden as well as the owner's garden and orchard. Futility room (which has it's own separate entrance) of owner's house for clothes washing, drying and ironing and for bike/suitcase storage.
Other things to note
There are excellent local places to eat. Check out the 'guidebook' or ask me for ideas.

Neighborhood highlights
Raglan village has award winning butcher Neil James, two pubs (The Ship and The Beaufort Arms), a fish & chip shop (The Raglan Fryer), a chemist, a Tesco Express and a garage with Morrisons Daily, post office and Cook frozen meals.
Monmouthshire is a great place to live and to visit. Tintern Abbey, lots of castles, Offa's Dyke path, the Rivers Usk and Wye, the Brecon Beacons, Abergavenny food festival and some fabulous pubs. The Clytha Arms and Walnut Tree Inn are my favourites.

Happy to share my wildlife toys ... wingspan optics binoculars, a wooden owl hoot and a Magenta 5 bat detector.
I work as a mentor at a small specialist school so neurodiverse people are particularly welcome here. I have many interests but foremost among these are music, singing and watercolour painting. I also absolutely love rock pools so my garden pond is designed to resemble one.
