This unique old south facing waterfront multilevel house has the best view and the best waterfront access on the most prestigious street in Nanaimo. Lots of parking. The AirBnB space is available for 4 adults plus children. Everything you need including kayaks and bicycles! Sometimes you can get free boat rides with the owner. The space
(2024-8-9. We are changing description of listing to 4 adult guests plus children and 2 bedrooms to comply with Business License from the City of Nanaimo.) Watch the ferries pass by all day long as they go into dock. From every window you can see the float planes landing and taking off! Kayaks go by all year round. 180 degree incredible panoramic views. Large two bedroom two bathroom suite with big sundeck. Includes kitchen, laundry, wifi, Cable TV. BBQ. The carpets are soft, warm, and quiet (and fun for kids.) Two kayaks, one rowboat, lifejackets and 4 bicycles. Parking for 3 cars(one covered).Private Entrance through covered parking space. No need to meet owner. This old multilevel house is on perhaps the most expensive real estate in Nanaimo(per square foot) and eventually a new luxury house will be built here. (2023-September. After 24 months we can say we often host families and groups. More fun. Less luxury = less worries for host and guests.) Whale watching tours now from Nanaimo are very successful. Parking for 3 vehicles(one covered) in dedicated driveway. Bus stop also nearby. Beautiful downtown just 10 minutes drive south and major shopping just 10 minutes north( largest shopping center on the Island.) Dozens of good restaurants within 10 minutes drive. You can swim, Kayak, fish, and catch crabs right in front of the house. You will see seals, eagles, deer, and whales sometimes. Meet the Otter Family on the rocks below! Soak in the outdoor hot tub and enjoy the view! 240Volt charger available for EVs.

Other things to note
The fireplace is decomissioned for safety and insurance reasons.
Our neighbors tell us we have the best view, and guests sometimes move furniture to take advantage of different views from different angles.
Sometimes we host contractor crews and musicians/performers and they park their large truck on street.

We do not charge a separate cleaning fee.
Lower floor is used as a dance and recreation studio by owner. Available sometimes by advance request for special events, activities. (Yoga, exercise, piano, rehearsals, etc) Not used when guests present(=quiet).
Dozens of towels, sheets, blankets and pillows are in the laundry room for guests to help themselves. You can get a license online if you wish to catch seafood. If you use kayaks, please have sandals with straps or marine shoes. The rocks on beach are rugged and sometimes slippery.

My work: Now semi retired in Nanaimo with some family in Japan.
Speaks English and Japanese
I lived in Japan for over 20 years while owning rental properties in Nanaimo. Now I am a full time property manager in Nanaimo. Every week I will go ice skating or cycling or kayaking. Now doing yoga too and would like to ski when there is enough snow. Mount Benson is nearby and fun to climb. (4 hour round trip) I like travelling and have travelled all over Asia while working in Japan in finance over last 20 years. Occasionally I travel to Europe and I have relatives in Holland. About five years ago I started ballroom dance lessons and now am quite active in the Nanaimo ballroom dance community. Other dances are available too most evenings.
