Welcome to Vista A-frame!

Perched high in the towering pines of Flagstaff, less than 10 minutes to downtown & 20 to the base of Snowbowl ski mountain. The Vista cabin gets its name from the panorama of soaring pines against a backdrop of endless blue skies. Conveniently located 2 minutes from the main highway yet it feels like a remote setting for a peaceful & treehouse-like experience.

The space
An enchanting & modern black A-frame, our cabin is one of the few true A-frames in this area. A cozy & moody retreat to come home to after a day of adventure & exploring the town. Sitting on a mountainside sprawled on half an acre, enjoy breakfast with this view right from the private back deck.

Within close proximity to popular destinations
- 40 mins to Sedona
- 90 mins to Grand Canyon South Rim
- 20 mins to the base of Snowbowl Ski mountain
- 35 mins to Bearizona in Williams

Recently renovated, the cabin has been updated with modern day luxuries while still keeping a cozy mountain cabin feel. Fully stocked kitchen, all new appliances and a gourmet coffee bar that includes a Moccamaster coffee maker, Nespresso machine and French press. Coffee, creamer, sugar and pods provided. The A-frame has a spacious upstairs loft accessed by a spiral staircase where the primary bedroom is located. Wake up in a Tuft & Needle king sized bed to the dreamiest view through its floor to ceiling windows. A sofa bed turns in to a full size bed for additional sleeping space. A Casaluna mattress topper is available for use with the sofa bed for an even more comfortable sleep.

Downstairs is the second bedroom, with a queen T&N mattress. A remote controlled gas fireplace will keep you cozy while drinking your morning coffee. The cabin also has new central heating furnace to make sure it is nice and warm throughout the night. A new minisplit AC installed for the warmer summer days to ensure comfort. The cabin has 1 full bathroom downstairs which was fully remodeled & stocked with essentials. Fast 350MB+ internet for movie streaming & in case you need to connect for work using the desk space in the loft.

The cabin is at the very end of a cul-de-sac in the quiet neighborhood of Kachina Village. Very private location with no drive thru traffic. Truly the best of both worlds as you are so close to town, and just far enough where you feel deep in the mountains. A perfect getaway for a peaceful retreat, or a couples stay. The highway is quickly accessed 2 minutes from the cabin which is very convenient and a corner store down the street that has produce, medicine, spirits and anything you might have forgotten for your stay.

The space is ideal for 4 adults, due to the open loft and high decks it may not be a great fit for small children, or people looking to party (4 guests maximum). This is our home away from home and we are focused on maintaining the property for future guests and ensuring we respect the community and our neighbors.

Outdoor Space

The A-frame sits on a half acre lot. There are 2 large decks that were just rebuilt. The rear one is equipped with an outdoor table, propane fire pit, comfy lounge seating (stored in time of inclement weather) and a new propane bbq grill. Surrounded by hiking trails that are within walking distance & the beautiful Kachina Wetlands, it is the perfect place for outdoor lovers. The property benefits from its proximity to the highway which can result in a faint and distant sound of occasional cars when outside, not too noticeable.

A parking pad in front of the cabin has enough room for 2 vehicles additional to a small dirt driveway. Please be mindful of the space with neighbors. Accessing the entrance does require going down a couple steps. Currently not allowing pets. Upon check-in we will provide you with a digital guidebook accessible online with additional information on the cabin to make your stay more pleasant.

Guest access
Guests will have full access to the cabin and backyard.

Other things to note
We do get snow in the winter months and while the city does a great job at plowing the roads it is highly recommended to watch the weather and ideally have chains, AWD or 4x4 if there will be snow throughout your stay.

*PLEASE NOTE* Our cabin is not considered child friendly. If you are interested in staying with children, please be aware of the following hazards:

An open loft with railing.
A narrow spiral staircase that does not have a baby gate.
Furniture that is not mounted to the wall and may tip over
Freestanding fireplace
Outlets without covers.

By requesting to book, you agree to full responsibility and liability for all children present during your stay and agree that they will be monitored by a responsible adult at all times.
