Neighborhood highlights

The hills surrounding Fiesole have always been admired for their extraordinary beauty, dating back to the time of the Etruscans. Many artists have visited these lands to admire the natural elegance of the Tuscan countryside, skillfully shaped by olive groves, cypress trees, and wooded areas. Among them were the famous architects Frank Lloyd Wright and Le Corbusier. The view extends from the splendid hills of Fiesole to Florence.

In just 5 minutes by car, you can reach FIESOLE, a charming village located on one of the most beautiful hills in Tuscany. Here you can visit:
• The Etruscan Museum and the magnificent Roman Amphitheater, where high-quality dance, theater, and music performances take place in the summer.
• The Primo Conti Foundation Museum, which houses a wonderful collection of works by the famous artist, preserved in his villa.
• The Church of San Romolo, a fine example of Romanesque architecture.
• The climb to San Francesco, leading to a viewpoint near the monastery of the same name, with a spectacular view of the Florence plain.
• The historic Alcedo pastry shop, open since the 1940s, where you can enjoy excellent cakes and other specialties.
• For walking enthusiasts: Via Vecchia Fiesolana, leading from Piazza Mino to the base of the hill, offering panoramic views of Florence and glimpses of ancient Medici residences.

Nearby SETTIGNANO, where Michelangelo spent his childhood, is another small gem worth discovering. A village with just a few houses but many villas immersed in the countryside, perfectly preserved since the Renaissance. In Settignano, don't miss Enoteca La Sosta del Rossellino, one of the best restaurants in Florence. Must-tries: Gnocchi with Castelmagno cheese and Fassone beef fillet with caponata.

GOLF: Just 30 minutes by car, you will find beautiful golf courses near Barberino, in the Mugello area.

TENNIS: Just 10 minutes by car, you will find tennis courts in Caldine.

RESTAURANTS: About 1.5 km from the villa, Ristorante Dino has been well-known since the 1960s. Its winning formula includes a pleasant terrace shaded by trees, where you can enjoy the simple cuisine of the Tuscan rural tradition, with homemade pasta and excellent grilled meats.

VIA DI BURANO is a gravel road about 900 meters long that leads to our villa. It is easily accessible by both car and foot, but we recommend using a car for travel to other destinations.
