Neighborhood highlights

The surroundings
Villa Hedwig is located in a quiet, idyllic, small settlement, 6.5 km from the Atlantic Ocean and within walking distance of two lakes, which invite you to take a walk with their pristine, wooded surroundings.
Smaller shops, such as a supermarket, a butcher, a pharmacy, a pizzeria or tobacco shops are within walking distance. The nearest major supermarkets - including a Lidl - are minutes by car. All major surf clothing brands have their outlet stores in the immediate vicinity and in Hossegor-Centre you can stroll and shop wonderfully. The port of Capbreton and Lake Hossegor, which is connected to the sea, also invite you to take long walks. In addition, with its fine sandy beaches, it is particularly suitable for families with small children.
Around Seignosse there are several, beautifully located golf courses.
The beautiful, kilometer-long, fine sandy beaches are about 7 km away. They can be reached both by bicycle and by car via pine-lined roads.
The beaches are guarded in the summer months and at many there is the possibility to learn to surf at one of the surf schools.
Those who prefer to go to the mountains will also get their money's worth here. In about an hour's drive you are in the Pyrenees. The Basque Country has its very special charm and you should take this trip.
In addition to the exceptionally beautiful and varied nature, there are also a few very interesting cities to visit. Bayonne, Biarritz, St. Jean de Luz or San Sebastian, to name just a few of these special places.

We've been on vacation with our family in France for decades. More than 15 years ago, my sister moved to France, Seignosse. Now the rest of the family has also bought a cottage down there on the Atlantic and would like to share it with other nice people.
