The space
Our property is a studio apartment within a building that we own and manage. It is a quiet community of adults only, who live work and play in the Lake Placid / Saranac Lake community. Our studio is clean and comfortable, and offers these amenities: Fully stocked kitchen, 2 person eating table, plush queen bed, Roku or streaming wifi TV, Free Wifi, bath towels, linens, pillows and blankets. There is a pay-laundry facility at the lower level. We provide parking without charge. There is a parking space that we have dedicated to our AirBnb guests, just outside the front entrance of the building (see check-in details); only one step is required, at the front door, to enter the building and the apartment. If snow or other obstacles provide a challenge to that spot, we have virtually unlimited parking below and outside our common entrance into the Laundry room at the basement level, with stairs to the first floor (Suite 7 is located here). We have on-site management and maintenance if any concerns should rise. a However, we do not offer hotel amenities such as front-desk, pool, fitness room, bar or on -site food service, etc. We are in walking distance to stores and convenience shops. The new Adirondack Rail Trail is located just below the property, easily accessible, and offers travelers exceptional hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, mountain biking. the trail runs from Lake Placid to Tupper Lake.
Guest access
Parking at our building is on-site and free of charge. We have dedicated a space to our AirBnb guests, at the front left corner of the building, very close to the main entrance. There is a professional sign that indicates "Reserved for Suite 7" on the corner of the building (please see check in details). The area is walkable, with access to convenience stores and restaurants. Lake Flower is 4/10 of a mile by foot or car. There is a former railroad line that has just been converted into a multi-use rail trail, located just to the East of the property.
Other things to note
We are proud to offer excepationally value-priced accommodations for short or longer term stays. We are clean and comfy, and offer a quiet community to enjoy a part of during your stay. We do not allow parties or groups larger than 2 persons, and no visitors will be admitted to the building. Guests must acknowledge that : 1) this is a studio apartment and that studio apartments by definition are one room and a bath. they are not large. this is not large. it is a studio apartment. please expert what you see in the pictures, which clearly shows the space. those renting a studio apartment should not expect something larger. If a one room studio is too small we can help you locate a multi room suite cabin or home rental that better fits your needs. 2) that there are multiple units in the building and that quiet yours are 10pm to 9am, and that respectful noise or activity levels are expected at all times, regardless of day or night. a couple of guests have mentioned on occasion hearing the sound of a toilet flushing from the unit above. this is not uncommon in older buildings with older plumbing. if this is true even though we haven't been able to catch the sound personally, this shouldn't overwhelmingly disturb your stay. we just want to warn you in case you have an aversion to the sound of water coming down a pipe on occasion. We are able to offer our inexpensive pricing becuase we are not a hotel or resort. Please note the amenities list presented in this listing. There are pay laundry machines in the basement level, they do require to download an app to operate- the company that operates them requires a $10 minimum pay in to the app to use them, we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cuase those on shorter term stays, however, they have not offered us a solution suitable for one-time users.
