The space

400sq ft open plan studio layout- one level, one room- with 250sq ft wrap-around covered deck. Enjoy the deck space year-round, cozied up next to the outdoor propane firepit, next to your private hot tub!
Unique to this property is the full kitchen (not a kitchenette), including propane range (stove top & oven), farmhouse sink and apartment size fridge !
Inviting washroom with heated tile floors, and shower with waterfall shower head.
We proudly stock, and use, only non-toxic, luscious ocean friendly refillable products. Cleaning products are all made locally by Mint cleaning, other refillable and low waste products are from our local refillery; The Den.
We are pet friendly ! Pets must be pre approved and an $75 pet fee will be charged. Dogs must be in control and leashed on the property at all times, we have a dog long line set up off the front deck. There are dog sitting services available in town, let us know if you’d like to arrange any of these while you’re out exploring for the day! 🐾
Driveway space is a little tight! Large trucks or vans can park at the top of the slope and walk down (10meters). Parking details will be sent upon booking in more detail.
‼️This cabin is located at the back of our property, at a distance of 20 meters from our home… in our private little forest nook in residential Ukee. We also host guests at the Lazy Bear Cabin, located diagonally - 30 meters away.‼️
👉 Please note: we are in town; there are neighbours & town noises… if you’d like a more rural setting look for rentals out of town. We provide a touch of a quiet forested setting at the back of our property; you’ll be in town and able to walk to dinner, the grocery store, the marina, and the in town beaches! 👈
We aim to provide as much privacy as you wish for, though we also enjoy meeting our guests !
Our cat, Lemon, may come say hello- she’s very social (but is wise when dogs are around who don’t like kitties). We do our best to keep our dog Pablo with us, as he’s a young big boi- but he enjoys saying hi and sometimes sneaks out. If your dog requires their space, we can be extra careful during your stay and absolutely make sure he doesn’t sneak off ! He may bark to start but is very friendly!
Guest access
To get around Ucluelet, to our in town beaches and the Wild Pacific trail- no car is needed! Arrive and hang up your keys. We are truly centrally located; most other cabin rentals are located outside of town! Abbodanza pizza and the Grey Whale deli are a stones throw away, Howlers & Big Wave cafe are a short 3min walk. The Co-op grocery store and Ucluelet Brewing are 900m, about a 12min walk. Big Beach and the Black Rock Resort (Current restaurant & Big beach lounge) are 850m, or a 10min walk.
Other things to note
Subject to availability, we may be able to arrange a private yoga class (weather permitting on the cabin deck or at a studio) or a massage ! Let us know if you’re interested at the time of booking!
During storm season power outages you can still enjoy the propane fireplace, stove, outdoor firepit and bbq ! We also have a generator that will run some lights and you can charge devices.
The cabin is located on a shared property in a residential neighbourhood, behind our home and our Lazy Bear Cabin (which also hosts guests). We are in town and walkable to downtown Ucluelet. More rural, private setting cabins are located out of town!
**IMPORTANT- We ask all guests to ensure that they have trip cancellation and extended health coverage at the time of booking. Refund requests outside our cancellation policy for personal health reasons and unexpected weather events (that may cause road closures or other delays) such as: snow storms, flooding, forest fires, power outages etc. will not be given. Thank you for understanding why we these cancellation policies in place for our small business.
