Tuko Kubo: Elevated Tropical Living
Tuko Kubo is perched above the rustic fishing village of Lamoro, approximately 10 kilometers from the historic El Nido town and just 4 kilometers from the conveniences of Lio Beach—including the airport, bars, pharmacy, and ATMs.
While we offer a secluded hillside escape, you aren't isolated: two local restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance for a sunset drink or a convenient meal. Our location is an explorer’s dream, positioned exactly halfway between the region's two premier beaches: Nacpan to the north and Maremegmeg to the south.
The Space
Developed in 2023 using local native materials, Tuko Kubo offers expertly handcrafted Eastern-style accommodation seamlessly integrated with modern Western standards. For those needing to stay connected, we provide high-speed Starlink internet, making the property a perfect tropical "work-from-home" base for digital nomads.
Perched atop a hill beside the rainforest and set far back from the road, the home features a unique, split-level modular design. Rather than separate rooms, the interior flows across three continuous, staggered living areas from front to back, providing 75 square meters of interconnected space:
The Upper Level: Tucked into the rear, featuring a mountain spring-water bathroom, changing area, and a fully equipped kitchen.
The Central Level: A spacious, cohesive heart of the home containing the bedroom and lounge.
The Foremost Level: A magnificent, all-wood covered terrace and dining area that opens up to the landscape.

Guest access
Guests enjoy full, private access to the entire 75-square-meter residence. While the gated entrance pathway and parking area are shared with one other detached property, Tuko Kubo itself is yours and yours alone—a completely independent space designed for your total privacy.

Transportation & Arrival
Tuko Kubo is a true hillside sanctuary, designed for those who value peace and panoramic views over the bustle of the town center. To make your arrival effortless, the access road from the highway was fully paved in late 2025.
The property sits approximately 300 meters from the main road; it is this elevation that grants us our breathtaking vantage point, though the walk is a gentle climb. For your convenience, we can coordinate private Tuk-Tuks or premium vehicle transfers at reasonable rates. While we recommend a scooter or car for total freedom, we are always on hand to arrange bespoke transport for your excursions.
A Note on Flexibility:
We want your transition to island life to be as smooth as possible. As a gesture of goodwill, we offer early check-ins and late check-outs whenever the schedule allows. If the house is vacant the night before your arrival or there are no incoming guests on your departure day, we are happy to extend these to you free of charge. Please note this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed in advance, but we will always do our best to accommodate you.

We believe in a seamless, guest-focused experience. We provide complimentary fresh towels for all our guests, ensuring you have one less thing to pack. We’ve moved away from the traditional deposit system—we prefer to host on a basis of mutual trust, allowing you to settle in and enjoy the handcrafted surroundings immediately.
The Tropical Breeze (Electricity)
Part of the charm of Palawan is its untouched, "off-grid" feel. While the local power grid is now remarkably stable—with brief 30-minute refreshes only once or twice a week—we choose to protect the serenity of the rainforest. Instead of noisy, fuming generators, we provide sleek emergency lighting and high-velocity portable fans to ensure your comfort remains uninterrupted during these rare moments of island life.

We’ve brought world-class connectivity to the hillside. With Elon Musk’s Starlink Satellite technology, you’ll enjoy high-speed internet up to 100mbps—perfect for digital nomads or streaming in high definition. For your entertainment, the lounge features a cinematic 55" Smart TV equipped with YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime (simply log in with your own credentials to continue your favorite series).
