Suspended high above the ground in the redwoods, this unique tent offers a cozy treetop escape. Its interior features a wood-burning stove, benches that convert into double and single beds, storage, lighting, a small desk, and power outlets. Bring your own sleeping bags and pillows if you like, or use included bedding. The separate bathroom has a flushing toilet, sink, and shower with hot and cold water. The large deck has a small outdoor kitchen and grill area, plus a fire pit and a rustic bar.

The space
Nestled in a secluded area on a rustic 9-acre property in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains, you’ll be surrounded by redwoods, firs, madrone, and oaks. Your door is just steps to a hillside meadow over a seasonal creek where you can enjoy expansive views of the ridge line, perfect for stargazing. There are two other rentals on the property, but you'll have plenty of privacy on the terraced property. We reside on the land to offer any assistance, along with two beautiful basset hounds, 10 chickens, and, yes, a rooster you’ll hear in the distance.

We are within minutes of Big Basin Redwoods State Park (California’s oldest state park), as well as wine tasting, a nine-hole golf course, 18-hole disc golf, hiking, and downtown Boulder Creek’s restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. Take a dip in the San Lorenzo River, or head to the beach, Boardwalk, and all that Santa Cruz has to offer in just 30 minutes!

Guest access
It's keyless check-in, and guests have access to the immediate forested area and the shared hillside meadow. This unit does not lock, there are zippers on the doors and windows. This tent is roughly 9 feet up a ladder, suspended in the trees.

Other things to note
Make up the bed with the provided quilt, pillows, blanket and throws, or bring your own sleeping bags for the ultimate camping experience. Towels and toiletries are provided. The cabin is heated by your choice of a space heater or a wood-burning stove. There is also an electric fan, there is no A/C.

The Tree Tent is for a maximum of two guests. This unit is not suitable for a very small children. Please ask us if you are not sure.

The Tree Tend is located about 200 yards up a gravel road, where you can park directly in front of the unit.
