A unique off grid experience awaits you at our eco-friendly solar powered tiny home on 6 secluded acres. The home site is perfectly cut into a groove in the hillside 200 feet above the valley below allowing for beautiful Mountain views and amazing privacy with no visible neighbors other than the variety of local wildlife. Enjoy the outdoor soaking tubs, wood fired sauna and a seasonal plunge pool. Just a short 5 minute drive to the lovely town of Rogue River and access to I-5. Pet friendly too!
The space
We take pride in the fact that our entire property is off grid and eco friendly powered by solar whenever possible. Even your water supply is solar powered and gravity feed. Although you should have plentiful power throughout your stay prolonged cloudy weather can slow the charging of our battery bank. But rest assured we do have a backup generator to charge up the batteries for you just in case. During the winter months it’s likely that the generator may need to be turned on for a few hours at some point during your stay to keep the batteries fully charged. Don’t worry we can operate the generator remotely for you from an online app! Your host will let you know if it needs to be done and arrange a convenient time to turn it on when the noise won’t be disruptive.
We designed the home to be intentionally small and cozy and encourage you to enjoy our outdoor areas and amenities. You’ll have access to our whole 6 acres spread over 3 unique buildings. When you arrive you’ll pick up your keys outside our brand new 300 sq ft. Converted shipping container that serves as a spacious bedroom with a full bath and a workstation for getting things done on the go. As you descend the outdoor stairs you’ll pass by the fire pit and make your way to the lower building with a well equipped kitchenette and living nook. Just a quick stroll from the house through the manzanita grove you’ll find all of the outdoor amenities. The natural wood soaking tubs are perfect for soaking under the stars, or light up the wood fired sauna on those chilly evenings. Warm up around our brand new fire pit area while taking in the view.
In the summer time our seasonal plunge pool will help you beat the southern Oregon heat. You’ll also find our outdoor shower house here to freshen up. It’s not technically an outdoor shower but the giant picture window looking out to nature will make you feel like it is!
Inside the house you’ll find a king size bed and a Roku tv to catch up on your favorite shows or movies. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare small meals on the cooktop or toaster oven just bring your own ingredients. We have a decent size propane refrigerator and separate freezer.
Please be aware that our gravel driveway can be a bit steep in spots and an AWD or 4WD vehicle is required to reach the homesite. Due to local fire restrictions we are unable to offer our wood fired sauna and fire pit during periods of high fire danger. This will typically be from July - September.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the entire property. There are no shared spaces. Your privacy is important to us and the only time you will see us is if you encounter a problem and contact your host for help.
Other things to note
Tiny Groove is conveniently located just 1 1/2 hours from both Crater Lake National Park, and the Redwoods for amazing day trips. Other popular local activities are river rafting, hiking, fishing, and wine tasting. We are just 30-40 minutes away from Britt festival summer concerts, and the famous Oregon Shakespeare festival. Your Southern Oregon adventure starts here!
