This outdoor-experience, without doors or walls, is full-service with 2 queen beds and can sleep 5.
Complete with the occasional visit by jungle critters, like bats, birds, geckos and coquis (local frogs). This treehouse surrounds a palm tree, which is open to the outdoors and 20' up in the air, with views of the jungle.

The space
The mini-kitchen includes electric skillet, microwave oven, refrigerator, and coffee maker.
The mini-kitchen is great for re-heating already prepared food. NOT intended for cooking meals.
The bathroom is more than adequate with a shower, vessel sink, and compost toilet.
The bedroom is open and spacious. The second bedroom is a small loft with queen bed above the kitchen accessed by ladder. And a twin-sized couch is in the living space. Mosquito nets are available to drape over the extra beds.
The room rate is based on 2 people and 1 bed. If 2 people,
require additional beds, a $15 additional charge per bed is added (the fee is already included in the extra person fee).

Be aware, that you may be awakened by bird songs and fall asleep to a symphony of the frogs. Ear plugs are recommended and bring Melatonin or another sleep aid if you have a hard time falling or staying asleep.
Note: Puerto Ricans love their dogs and several live close by. Please contact the Property Manager if there is excessive barking.

Guest access
Guests have access to the 5 acres of grounds landscaped with brick and flagstone walkways, terraces, rock walls & various ponds.
The living space is 20' up in the air accessed by a 23-stair circular staircase to the upper deck.
Please do not book this listing if you have physical limitations or are afraid of heights or jungle critters.
Please clean off muddy shoes/feet before entering the treehouse (there is a water hose under the house for rinsing off)

Other things to note
The TreeHouse of the Royal Palm is in a dense 5-acre Botanical Garden/Jungle. Summers are 80-95 and rainy. Oct & Nov are buggy months, mosquito netting is provided for sleeping. Winters are 65-80 and dryer, It can be chilly in the evenings and early mornings. Bug spray and long pants and long sleeves are advised for protection at dusk. A poncho for excursions is a good idea as well.

The tropical storms are between August and November and strong weather can cause power outages.

Where you’ll be

San Germán, Puerto Rico

We are located in SW rural/ el campo mountain area of PR. The town of Rosario is within walking distance and sports a bakery for sweets and deli sandwiches.
The historic city of Hormigueros is only a 15 minute drive. The city of San German (dating back to 1511) blends colonial charm with many modern conveniences, 20 minutes. Mayaguez (city of 100,000) is home to RUM (University of Puerto Rico) and contains all the modern conveniences (mall, restaurants, shopping) one could need. Mayaguez is 20 to 30 minutes from the tree house.
Several world-class beaches and quaint fishing villages can be found about 30 minutes away.

We are retire hopefuls but still have many projects to keep us active and into trouble. Our latest projects have been our Treehouses in Puerto Rico and our Tiny Home Village developments in Colorado. We love and trust in Jesus who never disappoints.
