Beautifully restored 1850s Victorian Guesthouse in the center of the quaint Village of Youngstown, NY, where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario.

Within walking distance of Old Fort Niagara, a short bicycle ride to the Village of Lewiston and Artpark, and a mere 20 minute scenic drive to one of the natural wonders of the the world - Niagara Falls. (Oh, Canada is just across the river as well.) Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space.

The space
We fully renovated the guesthouse with its history in mind - so you can enjoy turn-of-the-century charm in every room without having to worry about outdated facilities. One example of this, is that each of our 5 bedrooms has its own ensuite or private bath.

The fully equipt kitchen has everything you need to create a beautiful meal, including china and crystal to set a beautiful table in our stunning dining room.

Enjoy a game on my grandfather's 105 year old Brunswick Billiards Table or a chess match in the Parlor.

If music is your thing, the baby grand piano is tuned and ready to play or use the little "old fashioned" radio in the Billiards room to Bluetooth your favorite tunes. The Rock-Ola Brunswick Jukebox is loaded with a wide variety of music for you to enjoy. If you choose 0009 you will hear the song that inspired this place! (Regrettably, I am waiting on a part for the Jukebox, so hopefully by the time of your visit, it will be up and running again.)

You may want to just relax in one of the outdoor spaces. The only problem, I can see, is trying to decide which of the three you enjoy most.
- Sipping your morning coffee on the kitchen porch as the sun comes up,
- Enjoy a rocking chair on the wrap around porch while sneaking a peak of the River and Canada -yes, that is Canada on the other side of the Niagara River,
- Getting the party started with happy hour on the veranda.
You'll just have to stay long enough to do all three!

No matter what you choose, please make yourself comfortable and let "This Must Be The Place Guesthouse" be your new favorite place!

FYI about TVs
Rooms 1, 2, 4, and 5 have TVs with WiFi streaming with Roku which will include free access to basic TV stations. Also you will have the ability to sign into other streaming services (for example Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, ESPN+, etc) that you subscribe to.

Guest access
This listing is for smaller groups, your group will have use of 3 of the 5 bedrooms and their 3 ensuite bathrooms. The bedrooms open will be 2, 4 and 5. The other 2 bedrooms and baths will be locked during your say.

If you're looking for all 5 rooms please book through our other listing This Must Be The Place Guesthouse - 5 Bedrooms

Other things to note
When it's time to get out of the house and stray a little farther than the Village of Youngstown there is so much to choose from. Obviously, Niagara Falls - need we say more! Just a 20 minute scenic drive to a sight you will never forget.

On the way you will go through the Village of Lewiston with many shops, restaurants, ArtPark, hiking trails, festivals, and waterfront activities.

Head east and check out Ransomville, Wilson and Olcott with all they have to offer and don't forget the Niagara Wine Trail.

If you brought your passport, your can even visit our neighbors to the north, Canada! Niagara On The Lake is a 40 minute drive, while Toronto is 2 hours away-customs and traffic not withstanding.

Neighborhood highlights

Historic Village where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario.

You will be within walking distance of shops, restaurants, coffee shop, liquor store, grocery store, taverns, pharmacy, post office, churches, laundry mat, waterfront parks, playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, fishing, boating, public swimming pool, walking and bicycling paths and Historic Old Fort Niagara. All this in a village with only one street light and its flashing!

Lastly, I have travelled extensively around the world and although I may be biased, the best sunsets in the world are at the Fort Niagara State Park Beach (just 1.5 miles from the house) and at the Village Docks, just across the street!
Grab the picnic basket on top of the fridge and experience for yourself - you won't be sorry!
