Thim Omoro Cottage is a self-catering two-suite guest house in Homa Bay, Kenya. Its panoramic views of Ruma National Park, private pool, and modern comforts create a perfect escape into nature, offering peace and relaxation. From the deck, guests can spot wildlife in the park, while the area is a birdwatcher’s paradise with diverse avifauna.

The space
Our two-bedroom guest house accommodates up to 4 guests and features an open-plan layout that integrates the kitchen, living room, and dining area.

The master bedroom includes a queen bed, while the second bedroom features two separate twin beds. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom.

Outside, the private pool overlooks Ruma National Park and is complemented by a fire pit, and two gazebo viewpoints—perfect for sunset watching, relaxing evenings, and spotting wildlife.

Disclaimer: The property is remote with rough terrain; 4x4 vehicles with ground clearance are recommended. Thim Omoro is not liable for vehicle damage.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire guest house and designated outdoor spaces, including a private swimming pool and patio, an outdoor fire pit, two gazebo viewpoints, and a secure parking area. Guests may also hike around the exterior of the property at their own risk.

Other things to note
Important disclaimer: Thim Omoro Cottage is located in a remote area, and the roads leading to the property feature rough terrain. We highly recommend that guests use 4x4 vehicles with medium to high ground clearance. Thim Omoro will not be liable for any damage to your vehicle. Additionally, for safety reasons, the property is not suitable for infants or children under the age of 12.

Sustainability: We prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility by implementing practices such as rainwater collection and the use of solar energy. As part of our commitment, we do not allow the use of high-energy appliances and electronics such as microwaves, kettles, toasters, portable heaters, and electric hair styling tools, including but not limited to hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, and curling wands.
