PLEASE NOTE There are two stair cases from street level to the apartment. Expect some noise transfer from other travellers at times. While the hot tub itself is only available to you, the patio has a shared privacy wall with the neighbouring unit (there is a second fully private patio).

The space
The building entrance is accessed directly on Port Hope’s main street. The Wilf Jones is located on the top floor so walking up stairs is a necessity. The main floor consists of a full bathroom with an extra large shower and heated floors, kitchen with the high end European appliances and swoon-worthy cookware. The eating area sits before a scholar’s dream: a wall-to-wall bookcase hand crafted from walnut. The cozy living room is perfect for entertaining a small group. Here you will also find access to the lower patio with a full sectional (seasonal). Follow the staircase to the top floor and you will find both bedrooms as well as the entrance to the upper patio overlooking the entire town. Enjoy this view in the hot tub while drinking your morning Nespresso.

Parking: we are currently on a month by month basis for the parking spot rented from our neighbour. If parking is not available or if you have more than one vehicle, there is a free lot right beside available 24/7! Street parking is also an option for $1 per hour from 9am-6pm Monday-Friday and free otherwise. It is best to park in the parking spot or free lot overnight.

Guest access
Guests will enter the building through a communal entrance. There are three sets of stairs to reach the apartment door. You may encounter other guests from the neighbouring unit in the communal hallway.
The Wilf Jones has one completely private patio where you will find the sectional (seasonal). The second patio, where the hot tub is located has a divider between the two apartments. The neighbouring unit must have access as there is only one fire escape. While the hot tub is only meant for guests of The Wilf Jones, it is possible that neighbouring guests from The Colette Rose could be on their patio side.

Other things to note
Please note, our kitchen is suitable for light cooking, and we do not recommend planning extravagant meals, as we have a small European oven that can fit one small tray at a time. It does not operate as typical North American ovens so some may find it tricky to use. We recommend visiting our incredible local restaurants for the most enjoyable experience!

To keep things smooth and comfortable for everyone, please ensure your reservation reflects the correct number of guests and pets at the time of booking. This helps us prepare enough linens, supplies, and amenities for your group.

After 2 guests, there is a fee of $20 per person, per night.

Pets are welcome for a fee of $75.

For transparency: unregistered guests or pets will result in an additional $75 per night fee, in addition to the standard guest or pet fees.

We also ask that all guests review our cancellation prior to booking. We recommend that all guests purchase insurable option so your trip is always protected. You cannot add this at a later date, it must be at the time of booking as per Airbnb.

Hot Tub Policy
To keep the hot tub clean and ready for all guests, we kindly ask that everyone shower before use and follow the posted guidelines.

Misuse of the hot tub including affecting the water quality, significant water loss, or turning off or reducing temperature significantly may require professional servicing or water replacement.

In these cases, guests will be responsible for the cost of refilling and any related expenses, especially if it impacts the readiness of the hot tub for upcoming stays.
