The WheelHouse is a one-of-a-kind luxury stay featuring a 14-foot water wheel flowing over 22,000 gallons daily. The space
Beaver Creek, a slow-moving brook, runs just steps from the Wheelhouse, surrounded by towering 100-foot pine trees. Guests are immersed in nature from the moment they arrive- breathing in the fresh pine air, enjoying peaceful forest views, and exploring acres of private hiking trails. The gentle sound of the creek creates a truly calming, retreat-like atmosphere. Just next door, enjoy easy lake access by foot or a short drive, with kayaks included for guests to explore the water.

Evenings are best spent gathered around the fire pit, sharing stories, making s’mores, and relaxing in hot tub or oversized Adirondack chairs while overlooking the creek and the property’s signature one-of-a-kind water wheel.

While the setting feels secluded and serene, the home is fully equipped with modern comforts. Every room and common space features large flat-screen TVs, super high-speed Spectrum internet, and Apple TV, making it easy to stay connected, work remotely, or unwind with your favorite shows and movies.

The primary suite, located on the second floor, offers a true luxury experience. A California King bed with premium linens ensures restful sleep, while the private ensuite bath features a spacious soaking tub and double vanities. Step out onto your private balcony to take in the tranquil natural surroundings.

Neighborhood highlights

The Adirondack Mountains are surrounded with a plethora of things to do. We have a welcome guide provided for each of our guests with all of our suggestions, but want to share some amazing things to do in this overview.

1) The Old Forge is around a 45 minute drive from the property. The Old Forge has a beautiful scenic chair lift that brings you up to the top of the Adirondack Mountains. Be sure to pack a lunch and enjoy your picnic - you might even see some deer in their natural habitat.

The Old Forge also has a scenic Railroad tour, New York's largest water theme park, Calyspo's Cove (go-karting, miniature golf, batting cages, and arcade) as well as the Old Forge lake cruises.

2) Daimler's Inn is an amazing local eatery. I would highly suggest sitting on the patio.

3) Check out the mountains from the air with Paynes Seaplanes & Air Services. It is surreal seeing the mountains from the plane. It is truly an incredible experience we would recommend to our guests.

4) Lake Placid feels like a time capsule. The town is filled with amazing architecture and is a great place to visit, especially for winter sports (Lake Placid has even previously been the host for the Winter Olympics).

5) Nature Walks. The property sit on 11 acres which is great for nature walks with the dogs and family. The stream is also a great place for kayaking.
