Our property in Vermont is a slice of heaven: Set between Burlington & Stowe, 10 minutes off the main highway I-89, with quick access to the main spots in Vermont, but tucked down a dirt road with nothing but the sounds of the stream.
On our property we built The Tuckaway Suite, an entirely private guest suite above our garage. With access to a hot tub, and hiking trails right outside the door, this space is a brand new build with cozy cabin vibes.

The space
No service fees!
THE SUITE: This brand new construction build is a great space for couples or small families. The space is a 500sq ft well-designed studio guest suite, with a private entrance.
There is a full kitchen with an induction stovetop, sink, mini fridge, and other convenient appliances including a coffee maker, air-fryer, and microwave. Fully stocked with glassware, dishes, cutlery, pots & pans. Some basic cooking necessities and complimentary coffee and tea are available for your stay.
The living room area has a sofa. There is a coffee table for eating. Adjacent is a gas fireplace, controlled by a remote. There is a remote projector screen on the wall, and a projector in the closet for Netflix, or to hook up to your laptop/iphone and stream through your device. Central air and heating. The coffee table lid lifts for a full storage of board games & puzzles! A record player and records are available as well.
There is a king bed in the bed space. [Please note: There is no bedROOM, this is a studio style space]. In the bed space, there is also a small desk for one, equipped with some books for reading and USB port and laptop charging outlet. Wifi is available.
There is one full bathroom with a walk-in shower. Enjoy complimentary shampoo, & conditioner.
FAMILIES: We have a baby gate in the closet for safety with the stairs, and we are more than happy to offer a pack & play, high chair, infant bath, and toys if you'd like for your stay.
SHARED SPACE: The hot tub sits on our deck, but we've included a privacy wall, and so it has its own enclosed space. You will NOT see us on the deck when you are. Hot tub is for guests only.
You are welcome to use our entire property, including (and highly recommended) the stream out back for swimming, wading, and even fly fishing! We also have a trail directly off our property and clearly marked that leads to 275+ acres of walking & mountain bike trails. In addition, the road our property is on is great for walking (and strollers!) Please note that as we do live on this property, in nice weather you'll likely see us outside in the yard.
No unapproved guests please. This is also our home property where we live, so please be respectful and let us know if you’d like to have friends over. Please remember that you're staying in a home, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect.
PETS: Pets are not allowed in the Tuckaway Suite, because we have a dog that is not friendly to other animals. Our 13 year old lab, Bailey, loves humans but not other 4-legged friends.
The hot tub is for use at your own risk. Booking a stay shows agreement that a guest understands that they are waiving their right to sue the property owner for any injuries or damages they may sustain while using the hot tub.
Guest access
You'll have complete privacy in the suite, but you may see us around the property from time to time. We live next to the suite and will generally give you your space, but always welcome you to say hello!
Your private entrance allows you to come and go as you please. We observe quiet hours from 9 pm to 7 am. Hot tub hours are 7a-11p. We have multiple exterior lights and solar powered lights to light the way around the property at night. Parking for two cars.
Other things to note
This is above a garage - we never park our cars in it, and we rarely open and close the doors so you won't hear them raising or closing. There is a full flight of stairs you'll take to access this suite.
You will need AWD or snow tires in the winter months to access our property. We cannot refund if you can't make it to our property in the snow because of your tires. We have the road plowed regularly but we are still a bit remote and manage the road with our neighbors, not the city.
