Here Are A Few Kind Words From Our Past Guests:
“Usually the pictures vs reality are different, this time reality outweighed the pictures! The treehouse was amazing and highly recommend this property. Very secluded but only a 12 min drive to town. Can not say enough how clean and comforting everything was.” - Michael

“This was hands-down the best Airbnb I've stayed in. It was clean and spa-like. Catherine was so communicative and made the stay feel comfortable and seamless. The outdoor shower was private and fun with plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The bed was so comfy and clean. The view was GORGEOUS! Waking up to those big windows and seeing all the trees
was surreal. But don't worry, Catherine thought of everything and provided sleep masks for if the light bothers you. This place is the perfect escape from a busy life, and still, Asheville is a short drive if you want to hit the town. 10/10 recommend!!!” - Shelby

“Amazing place to get away! Close to town yet so peaceful. Catherine is the ideal host and super quick to respond. The house was immaculate and adorable! Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.” - Jamie

☆☆ BEDROOM ☆☆
This 200 sq ft retreat features one romantic bedroom, complete with a high-end king-size bed in front of a wall of windows. The sunny room is perfect for cuddling up and watching the snowfall in the winter, or in summer, relaxing after a full day of hiking. The cozy bed and select linens should lull you right to sleep.

☆☆ BATHROOM ☆☆
A half bath is just steps from the bed with a flushable toilet and sink. The combination of hardwood inspired floors, shiplapped walls, and modern tile work makes this space both rustic and modern.

A private outdoor shower located on the deck offers a hot, steamy reprieve after a long day of hiking and exploring. Plumbing for the shower is insulated and a tankless water heater provides an endless supply of hot water on early summer mornings or cold winter nights.

☆☆ KITCHENETTE ☆☆
The charming kitchenette is stocked with the tools you need to reheat leftovers or prep a quick grab-and-go breakfast. Use the mini-fridge to store kitchen basics and leftovers, and the microwave to heat a quick snack to enjoy on the patio. There is a Nespresso coffee maker for your daily caffeine fix and a searing ring and outpost grill on the outdoor smokeless fire pit for grilling your favorite meats or veggies. An assortment of coffee and espresso pods, along with coffee condiments, are provided for the perfect morning coffee experience.

While there isn’t a dedicated living room in this dreamy treehouse, the open-concept floor plan makes it easy for two people to move throughout the treehouse. There is a dining space and an outdoor lounge on the deck and pavilion to eat and relax to beautiful views.

Guest access
You will have full access to the entire Treehouse during your stay. The keyless entry makes check-in and check-out a breeze. Because we are a unique experience and to ensure all of our guests have an unforgettable and safe stay at Edenwood, we require our guests to electronically sign a simple liability waiver prior to releasing a personalized smart lock access code. The process to complete the liability waiver is via a 3rd party messaging software and is available for your review and completion based on your phone number on file with Airbnb.

Parking is located at the trailhead. You’ll follow a dedicated walkway from the trailhead to your front door (about a 3-minute walk).

The Treehouse also shares a 6-acre lot and walking path with our adjacent property, The Barn at Edenwood (also on Airbnb). The Treehouse and The Barn are connected via a path and within a 3-minute walk to one another, though each path and property is barely visible to the other.

The Barn offers romantic, affordable, and approachable luxury and is much larger in size. The Treehouse is a small footprint with a whimsical nostalgic feel likened to a summer camp experience with the convenience of full amenities. From here, you’re just a short drive from local grocery stores, hiking trails, retail shops, and Downtown Hendersonville.

*THE TREEHOUSE IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE VIA A THREE-MINUTE WALK ON A
MAINTAINED, WELL-LIT TRAIL THAT IS SLIGHTLY UNEVEN WITH A MODERATE INCLINE. TENNIS SHOES OR HIKING BOOTS AND PACKING LIGHTLY ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Other things to note
*THE WOOD-FIRED CEDAR HOT TUB IS AN EXPERIENCE & FOR THOSE WHO DON’T MIND PUTTING IN A LITTLE WORK AND TENDING TO A FIRE FOR SEVERAL HOURS. THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO SLOW DOWN, LINGER AT THE PROPERTY, ENJOY THE OUTDOORS AND STOKE THE FIRE UNTIL THE TUB IS AT A SOAKING TEMPERATURE. HEATING TIMES CAN VARY BETWEEN 2 AND 5 HOURS DEPENDING ON WEATHER OUTSIDE AND PRIOR GUEST USAGE. RARE ONE NIGHT STAY OFFERINGS WILL NEED TO PLAN ON BEING AT THE TREEHOUSE FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE STAY TO FULLY ENJOY BECAUSE OF HOT TUB HEATING TIME. WE DO OUR BEST TO SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS IN USING THE WOOD-FIRED HOT TUB, PROVIDING DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS AND ALL THE SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED.

*THE TREEHOUSE HAS FULL INDOOR PLUMBING. THE PRIVATE SHOWER, HOWEVER, IS OUTDOORS ON THE DECK OF THE TREEHOUSE.

Meet your hosts

My work: I spent 19 years in the marketplace in both finance and human resources roles. In a pandemic pivot, I left the marketplace in 2021 to use my gifts of hospitality and professionalism to serve the guests of Edenwood NC.
Fun fact: Performed @ Epcot @The Kennedy Center
Edenwood's two unique and private properties were created for you the guest with an understanding of the toll the daily grind of life takes on your body and mind. Hectic mornings. Overloaded schedules. Late nights. Endless email. Bottomless laundry. The Barn at Edenwood and The Treehouse at Edenwood are intentionally prepared spaces, in a tucked-away mountain setting, designed and built specifically to promote experiential connection for two people. After 19 years in the marketplace and logging thousands of miles of business travel, as your host, I’ve reflected much on what distinguishes an overnight stay from a getaway experience. My goal as your host is to prepare the property in such a way that it nurtures a rejuvenating guest experience so that you can return to your home and places of work with a sense of who you are and what you were made to do. I personally own, prepare, and manage The Barn and The Treehouse and don't rely on third-party outsourcing or property management companies in order to provide you personalized and high-quality experience.
