Our home was originally built in 1804 and restored with the original stonework in 2003. The Stone Lodge is an ideal destination for a family gathering or a get together with friends.

We're thrilled to announce the newest addition to our house - a luxurious hot tub!

Private use of the hot tub, perfect for day or night, all year round.

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful stone lodge!

The space
The Stone Lodge is a detached family home set in a beautiful location with countryside views to the Mourne Mountains and beautiful Ballyhoe Lake.

Our house sleeps 12 comfortably. The standard house price is for 8 people - 4 bedrooms.

- Master bedroom with ensuite
- Double bedroom
- Twin bedrooms with a shared ensuite
- Double bedroom with shared en-suite

Up to an additional 4 beds can be added to the house (sleeping 12 guests) - additional charge per additional guest at booking:
- A twin room may be opened if required and/or
- 2 additional rollaway beds may be added into any of the rooms if required.

We also have one travel cot for an infant.


Downstairs is perfect for family gatherings with a fully equipped kitchen and self-catering facilities, a TV room, bathroom, utility room and extra spacious living area for the whole family to enjoy.

Outside our beautiful hot tub is covered for use through all weather!

Other things to note
We are located on the border of 4 counties: Meath, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth. This ensures that your options for local attractions and amenities is endless. We are a 10 minute drive from the nearby towns of Kingscourt and Carrickmacross and 15 minutes from Ardee. The larger towns of Dundalk and Navan are only 30 minutes drive away.

With only a 55 minute drive from Dublin Airport and 90 minute drive from Belfast, our home is very convenient for visitors coming from afar.

The 4 Star Cabra Castle Hotel, Dun a Rí Forest Park and newly established Boyne Valley Greenway are only a 5 minute drive from our house.

Given our location, day trip options along Irelands Ancient East routes are endless. Within a short drive you can access Newgrange Historical Tombs, The Cooley Mountains, Carlingford Lough, Slane Castle, The Hill of Tara, Emerald (Tayto) Park, Lough an Leagh and much much more.

Spend some quality time outdoors at The Stone Lodge with family and friends enjoying a BBQ in our outdoor seating area.

Hi, I’m Tom. I started hosting The Meath Hill Stone Lodge for rentals last year. My family lived in The Stone Lodge for 20 years and have recently just moved into Kingscourt town. I like to travel and have always enjoyed staying in self-catering accommodation. There is many great things to do in the area around Meath Hill Stone Lodge including walks, historical attractions, local restaurants and pubs. I look forward to hosting you!
