Welcome to The Sparrow A-Frame, a one-of-a-kind luxury cabin in Luray, Virginia, less than two hours from Washington, DC. Nestled on a private mountain lot in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, this serene retreat blends modern comfort with authentic West and North African influences, offering both seclusion and easy access to town.
Step inside to an open-concept living space that flows seamlessly into a fully equipped modern kitchen and stylish dining area. Every design detail thoughtfully reflects the owner’s African heritage, creating a warm, distinctive atmosphere. Unwind by the wood-burning stove, stream your favorite shows on the 65” 4K TV (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV), or enjoy the PlayStation 5 preloaded with popular games, all powered by fast Starlink satellite internet.
The first-floor bedroom is richly styled with Moroccan flair, featuring warm tones, intricate patterns, and a cozy carpeted seating area with floor pillows perfect for lounging or reading.
Upstairs, the lofted bedroom overlooks the living area and showcases the cabin’s striking A-frame architecture. This space also doubles as an inspiring workspace, equipped with an all-in-one computer, printer, and Starlink internet, positioned in front of large windows that open to peaceful forest views.
Modern conveniences include a full washer and dryer. Outside, a wraparound deck awaits with a built-in 5-person hot tub, comfortable seating, an outdoor gas fire pit table, and a large electric grill ideal for relaxing evenings under the stars.

A few notes to make sure this is the right place for you:
Please be advised that the Sparrow A-Frame is a mountain property. Although the Sparrow A-Frame can be reached with a two-wheel drive vehicle regularly, we highly recommend driving an all-wheel or four-wheel-drive vehicle in wet conditions. From November to March, we strongly advise driving a four-wheel-drive vehicle in snowy and wet conditions. While there are plenty of dry days during those months in Virginia, there is simply no way to predict this in advance. Please take this warning seriously, as the Sparrow A-Frame is on a gravel road and although the gravel part of the drive is short, only about 3 minutes, there are some steep sections. We do not offer refunds for cancellations due to weather, so familiarize yourself with related expectations and prepare accordingly before you book.
Waiver of liability for use of the hot tub
The guests agree to use extreme caution and care in the hot tub on the premises and to pay any and all repair charges for damage to the hot tub and/or property caused by the guests. Guests further agree that everyone using a hot tub will shower and clean their feet upon the use of the hot tub.
IMPORTANT
The Sparrow is in the mountains and thereby surrounded by a variety of wildlife even a bear possibly. With this in mind, guests must carefully clean up the kitchen every night and securely package all food to prevent pest infestations. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY FOOD OR TRASH OUTSIDE, WHICH WILL ATTRACT WILD ANIMALS.
