This Schitt’s Creek inspired stay, in the lee of Portland, OR, is just steps away from delectable SE restaurants, bars, theaters, vintage shops, arcades, record stores & dispensaries. Your stay at Moira’s small but mighty studio includes a delightfully bloomy pot positive heated courtyard and passage into Johnny and Moira’s Rosebud room #6, wigs and all.
The space
It’s called an immersive experience!
From the windows to the walls, The RoseBud & Barkfest is inspired by Schitt’s Creek’s Rosebud Motel (without the ceiling leaks). You’ll be delicately transported into Johnny and Moira’s small but mighty room #6. Don one of Moira's wigs, lounge in bathrobes on Moira and Johnny’s queen bed, and play guitar hero (for reasons?) all while escaping the horrors of the outside world. In the delightfully flowery courtyard you’ll find the same type of chairs seen in the show (actually from Canada!), a covered and heated hang out area with a table and two chairs and many touches inside and out, like Moira’s Rose’s Garden 4856, which will bring Schitt’s Creek fans undeniable glee. Need a bigger space? We have an upstairs 1 bedroom apartment as well.

The RoseBud & Barkfest is a must stay for any road tripper or weary traveler. This charming, lovingly restored road-side, small but mighty, studio is a welcome pitstop for anyone looking for a clean room and first rate hospitality. In fact, the guest services manager will go almost too far out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay, except allowing your cat. It’s no surprise that their walk score is 96 with all the amazing Portlandy things tiny steps away.
YOUR JOURNEY:
THE COURTYARD:
After entering the courtyard ground level door, through a coded lock, you’ll find a private, covered and heated hang out space with a table and chairs set and an open air section with the same type of circular outdoor chairs that were seen at The Rosebud Motel. We had to hunt those down in Canada!
THE ROOM:
Once inside The RoseBud, after another coded entry, you'll find a desk with an adjustable stool, alarm clock and a world map where you can let us know where you're traveling from with a pin.
THE BED:
The queen-sized bed has high thread count extra soft sheets, comforter, bed spread, and 4 pillows (2 located in the dresser to the right).
KITCHENETTE:
There is a microwave, kettle, kuerig, and mini-fridge and supplies include paper towels, cutting board, wine opener, can opener, coffee and tea kit with cream, sugar, and tea bags, and the kitchenette sits atop labeled drawers with plates bowls and silverware for 2, outdoor blankets, lap tray, and drawers for your storage and dirty dishes. Above the kitchenette you’ll find the glassware, including Herb Ertlinger goblets, brita, fire extinguisher and a basket of entertainment including Schitt’s Creek Monopoly, the hardcover book, Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: The Story of Schitt’s Creek, Schitt’s Creek Uno, Schitt’s Creek What Do You Meme?, a Schitt’s Creek coloring book with crayons, and a Portland Guide book. On the edge you'll find microwave safe dog bébé food and water bowls, and a luggage rack.
LUXURY AMENITIES:
Soft and thick toilet paper, satin pillow cases, bathrobes, outdoor blankets, extra large soft bath sheets.
POOCH AMENITIES:
2 bowls, 1 small/medium sized bed, poo bags and treats when available.
OTHER AMENITIES:
Fiber 940 GB high speed internet, work desk w/ stool, Roku smart TV with Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix, HBOMAX, Paramount + CBS + SHOWTIME, Playstation 2 with Guitar Hero games and two working guitars, alarm clock, microwave, kettle, kuerig, coffee pods, cutting board, salt and pepper grinders, can opener, wine opener, scissors, mini-fridge, brita, coasters, food tray, paper towels, coffee condiment when available, a set of Herb Ertlinger goblets, mugs, silverware, chop stick sets, and two person set of dishes and bowls.
THE SCHITTER:
You'll find a full length mirror on the bathroom door and inside Moira's wig wall, wig caps to try them on, bathrobes, luxury extra large bath sheets and towels, bath mat, fancy toilet paper, hand soap, make-up remover wipes, organic tampons, a giant jar of complimentary travel-sized things you might need, pet cleaning spray, antibacterial cleaning spray, a small closet with hangers, iron and ironing board, a toilet, sink, vanity and shower with dispensers filled with Biolage Smoothproof Shampoo & Conditioner and Neutrogena Rainbath body wash inside.
AIR CONDITIONER:
Window unit is installed for summer months only, June-September. It’s has been removed for the winter/spring 2025/2026 seasons.
THE NEIGHBORS:
We hosts guests upstairs as well and you may hear them on the porch. Farmer Barb, our co-host, loves to the right of the suite.

POOCH POLICY:
We think pooches are family and do not charge a pet fee! Pooches must be potty trained and vaccinated. We allow up to 2 pooches but the space will best accommodate medium to small pooches with 2 humans. The space can accommodate up to a 28 inch crate, left of the bed. The bed might need to be scooted a little to the right. We do not have crates onsite. Poo should be thrown away in the outdoor garbage, not in the unit. The courtyard is a pee and poo free zone. $100 additional cleaning fee will be added if it’s found. If an accident happens there is spray under the sink. Please let us know if an accident happens on the rug so we can get it cleaned. You may leave your pooches comfortably in the suite and we will let you know if they seem to be stressed. We may ask you not to leave your pooches if barking and stress become concerns. Unfortunately, we are feline free. A $300 additional cleaning fee will apply if felines are found.
NEW POT POLICY June 2025: We’re pot positive and guests can enjoy outside under heat and cover or under the big beautiful sky in the courtyard. We ask that guests not smoke inside as our smoke detectors are very sensitive and setting off the smoke alarm will set it off for the whole house, including other guests and Farmer Barb. We also do not allow cigarettes, spliffs, blunts or other tobacco used in the courtyard. We tried allowing smoking inside for many years but it became too intrusive for guests and honestly scary for co-host Ol’ Lady Farmer Barb who lives onsite. If the smoke alarm is activated we will reach out in the app messages and/or knock on the suite door to confirm there is not an emergency. If the smoke alarm is activated more than once due to smoking you may be asked to leave without a refund.
NOs:
Parties, 3rd party bookings, cats, cigarettes,
in door smoking, and unapproved additional overnight guests are prohibited. Additional overnight guests after 2 people will result in a $100 per night per guest fee.
ENTRY CODES:
Codes will be in the app booking details and we will also send a message day-of check in with details. Entry codes for same day bookings may take up to 2 hours to program.
CHECK IN & OUT POLICY
Check in is at 3pm and check out is 11am. Codes will reset after check out. We do our absolute best to honor early check in and late check out requests. Same-day early check in or late check out requests can’t be accommodated and we can only confirm if an early check-in is available the day before your stay as it depends on our team and booking schedule.
NOISE POLICY:
Please keep noise to a minimum in the courtyard especially post 10pm per our quiet hours. Our neighbors and other guests will appreciate this greatly. We also host guests upstairs and you may hear guest on their porch.
COURTYARD ACCESS:
Other guests cannot access the courtyard, it is your private space. On rare occasions, Farmer Barb, who lives on the right side, may use the courtyard door or receive packages there.
CAMERA POLICY:
For your safety, we have Ring security cameras on the upper front porch, sides of the house, on the driveway, in front of the courtyard, in front of the suite door and in the backyard. Cameras record audio and video 24/7. Any covering of, disabling of or tampering of security cameras will result in booking cancellation.
GARBAGE AND RECYCLING
Please throw dog poo away immediately outside in the Garbage Only bin and not inside the unit. Place wine bottles, returnable glass, cans and plastic in the Recycling Only bin on the right. All other items go in the Garbage Only bin on the left.
