Just a short 45-minute drive from AVL Airport! Cozy accommodations for 2 adults featuring a fully equipped kitchen, queen sized bed, and mountain views from the front porch. Welcome to your personal mountain paradise!

The space
Newly remodeled Smokies cottage in a central location between Maggie Valley and Waynesville, providing year-round easy access without needing a 4x4. Less than half a mile from the fairgrounds, 6 minutes from Tube World, and a short drive to Cataloochee Ski Area, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Cherokee. Across from a popular BBQ restaurant and pizza/Italian place, with numerous dining and shopping options within a 1-15 minute drive.

This cottage features thick concrete walls and blackout curtains for a peaceful stay. Situated on a quiet street off the main road, in a well-maintained subdivision. Originally built in 1956 and renovated for modern comfort, the front offers mountain views and wildlife sightings, including elk, bears, bobcats, turkeys, deer, and more.

Parking is available for one vehicle in front of the unit, additional parking may be available but will require prior approval. Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 7 am.

THE BEDROOM - Brand-new comfortable Serta queen sized bed, reading nook with two velvet chairs and table, Roku 4k TV, and blackout curtains. Two nightstands are each equipped with USB charging stations and lights.

THE LIVING ROOM - Velvet couch, midcentury coffee table, Roku 4k TV, art deco armoire filled with games, puzzles, local guides, and books, and a dining room table with seating for two.

THE KITCHEN - Thoughtfully re-designed with brand new appliances and all new cabinets/countertops. Beautiful chevron acacia butcher block counters really make it stand out! The cabinets, drawers, and shelves have been filled to the brim with every cooking essential you could need!

THE BATHROOM - Remodeled en suite bathroom with a new sink/vanity and toilet, and original 1956 tiled shower stall. The shower measures approx 2.5x2.5 ft. (29.5"x29.5") and has an entrance opening of 23.5". Please note the shower size for mobility considerations. (There is no tub available.)

No dreary, gray winters here! As spring unfolds, the landscape comes alive with the blossoming trees, including dogwoods and redbuds, alongside the exquisite rhododendrons and mountain laurels. Summer invites you to bask in the beauty of the lovingly tended gardens surrounding the cottage, teeming with an array of colorful flowers, fragrant herbs, graceful ferns, and thriving vegetables. And when autumn arrives, the valley is ablaze with the renowned, vivid hues for which this region is celebrated. Be sure to embark on a scenic journey along the Blue Ridge Parkway to truly immerse yourself in the breathtaking spectacle.

There are no laundry facilities on-site, but we do provide an ironing board, iron, and steamer for your convenience. There are several laundromats nearby if needed.

Guest access
You'll have access to the entire tiny house and front porch. The fire pit and community pavilion are for homeowners only as per HOA rules. One parking space is included in front of the unit, more space (for trailers, etc) may be available with prior approval.

Other things to note
- Hassle-free check-out: Your cleaning fee covers professional cleaning, so no chores or cleaning list. We only request that you take the trash to the bin, adjust the AC/heat and ensure you've taken all your personal items when you depart.

- We try to be sensitive to guests with allergies, NO pets, please! A $200 deep-cleaning fee will be applied for any pet violations. Service animals are accepted as per ADA regulations with prior notification. Service animals are not to be left unattended at the cottage at any time (must be with you at all times) and must be leashed when outside or on porch. Guest will be responsible for any damage that occurs. Please dispose of all animal waste in trash bin outside using dog waste bags, not inside house.

- Strict no-smoking policy indoors. Smoking is only permitted on the front porch (make sure windows/front door are closed) or the front yard. Dispose of ash waste in the designated receptacle on the front porch, not inside the house or on the ground. A $100 fine for littering cigarette butts on the ground and a $250 deep-cleaning fee for indoor smoke removal. PLEASE DO NOT ASH IN THE GARDEN BEDS.

I am a full-time wedding, portrait, and landscape photographer from the Florida Keys and I now reside in Maggie Valley NC. I love the outdoors and want to spend as much time as possible in nature or immersing myself in the local culture. I have a great respect for nature and preserving the ecosystem and try to be as eco-friendly as possible in my home and practices. As a guest: I am a quiet and considerate tenant, and a non-smoker. I am an adventurous foodie, always looking to try new and different things, and I definitely want your opinion on local eateries. I appreciate book collections and I promise not to dog-ear your pages. I will always leave a place in the condition it was in when I checked in. As a host: I pride myself on providing a clean space for you to relax in and just ask that you treat my home as if it's your own. Please leave it in the same condition as it was when you checked in. I appreciate honesty and will return the favor, if something breaks please let me know. I will do everything I can to be a wonderful host, and I can only hope that you would do the same as a guest! I love socializing and meeting my guests, one of my favorite things is providing information about the local area and things to do.
