Study- Warm and inviting and interesting, the room most definitely has a more masculine appeal with deep burnt umber walls, leather chairs, a cowhide rug and artwork by Charles Marion Russell, an artist famous for recording the "Wild West". Entering this room is like stepping into a Western movie set. The 1920's antique Belgium armoire houses man's dream- a big screen TV and a vintage Nikko stereo receiver adapted for Bluetooth and equipped with vintage Klipsch speakers.

Entry hall- A beautiful antique European hall tree provides a place to hang your hat or coat. Be sure to note the authentic original lithographs of the early historic town of Winters on the opposite wall.

Main Living Room- Be prepared to have to catch your breath- it truly is grand and elegant and you will feel as though you have stepped through a time portal. There is an immediate warmth to the room and as you wander into the space there are many wonderful delights to take in.

Master Bedroom- If you are wanting Romantic- you just found it! If you have never experienced French Rosewood Rococo Antique design furnishings from 1860 then you are in for a treat! The mattress was carefully chosen for comfort and the luxurious fine linens are made of 100% cotton- fit for a Queen! There's a big screen TV behind the amoire doors.

Master En-suite- Elegantly clad in marble with mother of pearl inlay. The marble floors are heated. There awaits a claw foot tub with all the luxurious linens and amenities you would hope for.

Front Bedroom- Lots of natural light, a bay window and a comfortable bed provide the ideal space to relax.

Dining Room- This portion of the home decor changes to historical American Oak furnishings. The dining room is equipped with a sweetly unique antique golden American oak dining table and press backed oak chairs, two buffets and a display cabinet all dating back to 1895-1910. There you will find china dishes and a silver setting, crystal bowls and other serving items to enjoy should you decide to cook a meal or two.

"The Garden Bedroom"- This room seems to bring the whole garden in with the floral tapestry loveseat. The warmth of the golden oak tones of the wood comes together to create a room you will want to relax in.

Garden Room's En-suite- Heated marble floors and a shower that has a shower head that has been purposefully altered to give our guests the ultimate shower experience and again the wonderful soft linens and amenities.

Kitchen- It's the sweetest kitchen ever! It is more than adequate should you decide you wish to cook and is completely stocked with the exception of food items.

Laundry Room- Fresh new clothes washer and dryer provides a place to do any laundry you may wish to do during your stay and is equipped with detergent, softner, bleach and dryer sheets.

Front Porch- A guest favorite the front porch offers comfortable Victorian style seating. At certain times of the year you will enjoy the robust scent of Gardenia picked up on the soft breeze or the scent of roses from the roses flanking the front porch or the jasmine creeping up the front arbor entry.

This completes your sixty second tour but we would love to give you the tour in person! Simply ask if this interests you- it is free of charge- of course. It is quite memorable- we promise!

Guest access
You will have exclusive private access to the entire home and gardens. The garage and basement are for the help. There is parking off the rear alley enough for 3 cars but there is also free shaded on street parking out front as well.

Other things to note
We can be flexible to meet your needs. Our guests matter, your needs/wants matter. If you are celebrating an anniversary or birthday or any other special event- or just want things to be extra special- let us know and we will provide for that. Don't just stay the night- make a memory!

We have provided two videos for our guests that are about the home and our charming community of Winters that includes things to do. Be sure to look for "Tour The Queen On Main" and "Winters... More Than a Destination... An Experience" on You Tube.

Where I went to school: Same school Kevin Costner/Jackson Brown
My work: Interior Design, Farming and Property Management
My husband, Mike, and I have recently completely remodeled our 1895 Queen Anne Victorian that we have appropriately named, "The Queen on Main" and we are excited to offer it as a unique experience for overnight accommodations in the quaint, historic farming community of Winters, CA.- which has become quite the destination place! I am a retired horse breeder of 15 years now, retired also from Marketing and Operations Management for Total Horsemanship Training. While there I also was fortunate to manage work in the film industry where my daughter and I provided the horses for various productions. I also wrote a monthly column in an Equestrian magazine in that capacity. I am recently retired with my husband as owners of a chain of automotive repairs facilities in Solano County where I was the office manager. Winters has been home to our family for 34 years where we have resided just outside of town on a ranch- it has been a wonderful community to be a part of! My passion is Interior Design and Entertaining. The Queen On Main has allowed me to express both. I currently work in: Interior Design, Farming and Property Management Mike is a retired business owner of a chain of automotive repairs centers for over 30 years. He is a muscle car enthusiast (and expert). Classic Rock Music has always been a part of his life. He is a guitar enthusiast and collector. He has discovered he also enjoys antiques- lucky for me! Mike has stories but they aren't fishing stories... People enjoy visiting with him, he is interesting and has quite the sense of humor. ... And dogs seems to really like him. I'm not sure what that indicates but its the living truth- and cats! Mike currently manages our farming operations and oversees the business end of things. Now that you know we are people just like you, we hope that you will feel comfortable in booking your stay with us. It is our sincerest hopes that your stay will be one that provides enjoyable memories for years to come!
