Walcox Point is a relaxed lakefront stay on Weiss Lake, tucked away on a private point in Alabama.
With open water views, quick access to the lake, and comfortable gathering spaces, it’s a great fit for families and groups looking to spend a few easy days outdoors. Fish, paddle, or take it slow by the water during the day, then settle in around the fire at night.
It’s a calm escape within driving distance of Birmingham, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and Nashville.
The space
Walcox Point is a spacious 5-bedroom, 4-bath lakefront home on Weiss Lake, set in Waterhouse Cove with room for up to 18 guests. Recently renovated and surrounded by water on three sides, the property offers 850 feet of shoreline, wide lake views, and a peaceful setting that works especially well for large families, friend groups, and team stays.
Inside, you’ll find a large family room and a custom dining table that seats 10, making it easy to share meals, play games, and spend time together. The updated kitchen features stainless steel appliances, solid-surface countertops, and everything you need for cooking at home.
Sleeping arrangements include:
Room 1: King bed with en-suite bathroom
Room 2: King bed with en-suite bathroom
Room 3: King bed
Room 4: Four twin bunk beds, one queen bed, and two trundle beds
Room 5: Two queen beds
There are also two additional common-area bathrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs.
Outside, guests have easy access to the water with a dock just steps from the house, plus a private boat launch for fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, or cruising on the Coosa River. The waterfront porch is a favorite spot for morning coffee, sunrise views, and quiet time by the lake.
For safety, motion cameras are installed at the dock.
