The Pickled Bear in Davis, WV is located in heart of Canaan Valley; close to state parks, hiking trails, Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods, and skiing. The cabin offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and accommodates up to 6. With amenities like a wood burning fireplace, wireless internet, 3 TVs, a stocked kitchen, a deck with plenty of seating and a gas grill, you'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a pool, mini golf, playground, pickleball, ponds, and trails.

The space
The Pickled Bear is perfect for a romantic getaway, girls’ weekend or a family vacation. The loft area is accessible by a standard staircase. All linens are provided, as well as a starter set of paper towels, dishwasher soap, hand soap, toilet paper and trash bags.

Guest access
Guest has access to the entire cabin as well as all the resort amenities; pool, basketball court, pickleball, fire pits, volleyball, horseshoe pits, corn hole, walking trails and catch and release ponds. Guests can access recreation equipment cupboard located outside the lodge. A pool table and lending library are accessible in the lodge during office hours.

Other things to note
The area is a 4 seasons destination, from skiing; both downhill and cross country, sledding the longest run on the East coast, hiking, visiting State Parks and National Forests, white water rafting and tubing, horseback riding, and mountain biking trails. The Pickled Bear is located minutes from the quaint mountain towns, Davis and Thomas, which have amazing restaurants and unique shopping.

During weather months, the mountains receive inclement weather which can be unpredictable. We recommend guests have a reliable car such as a 4x4 and/or chains.
