Listing highlights

Dive right in

This is one of the few places in the area with a pool.
You didn't fly to Zanzibar to sit in one place.

The Oasis Studio is your base for the whole island. Two bicycles at the door.
Pool and gym included. 20 minutes from the airport, 25 from Stone Town,
3 minutes from the Safari Blue boats.

Before you arrive I'll send you a day-by-day plan for your trip — which tour
on which day, which driver to call, where to eat. Free. It's just what I do.

Arrive. Exhale. I've got the rest.

THE BIKES

Fumba Town was built to be cycled — flat, safe, gated, with a promenade along the water. Ride to the beach bar for sunset. Ride to the supermarket. Ride out to Fumba village in the morning to watch the dhow builders work.

Most guests tell us the bikes were the thing they didn't know they wanted.

THE GYM

Included, and five minutes from your door. Zanzibar is usually a fortnight
off the routine. If you'd rather keep yours, you can — full gym access at
no extra cost, plus a pool for laps and the promenade for a morning run before the heat arrives.

HOW YOU MIGHT SPEND A WEEK

Day 1 Land, settle, sunset at the Fumba beach bar
Day 2 Safari Blue — sailing, snorkelling, sandbank (3 min from your door)
Day 3 Slow morning, cycle the promenade, swim
Day 4 Stone Town — Old Fort, spice market, sunset at Forodhani
Day 5 Jozani Forest red colobus + a spice farm
Day 6 Beach day north or east, or nothing at all
Day 7 Gym, pack, late checkout if the calendar allows

I'll build you a proper version of this around your actual dates and the tides.

Guest access
The studio is entirely yours. You also have full access to the pool, the gym,
and the two bicycles for your whole stay.

Fumba Town itself is a gated, secure community — supermarket, healthcare centre, food court, beach bar, café , SPA and the waterfront promenade are all a short walk or cycle away.

I live here in Fumba Town, so if anything comes up, I'm minutes away.

Other things to note
GOOD TO KNOW

· Fumba's shoreline is a calm, sheltered lagoon — beautiful for sunsets, paddling and dhow-watching, but it is not the white-sand surf you see on Zanzibar postcards. Those beaches (Paje, Nungwi, Kendwa) are 50-90 minutes away and make excellent day trips. I'll help you plan them.

· Fumba is a base, not a resort. If you want to lie on sand for seven days without moving, book the east coast — I'll happily recommend somewhere. If you want to actually see Zanzibar, this is the best-located place on the island to do it from.

· Zanzibar is a majority-Muslim island. Fumba Town is relaxed, but modest dress is appreciated in the village and in Stone Town.

·While, we believe in eco-friendliness we are caught with a reality, power is needed, and town has standby diesel generators. However private owners are encourage to seek solar and alternative solution. This unit has state of art solar backup system.

· Late arrivals are completely fine, just let us know in advance to wait.

Hi, I'm Augustine — entrepreneur, marathon festival director, and proud Fumba Town local, living here with my wife Florence. The Oasis Studio is the seafront flagship of our boutique stay company, Ubora Living. I love showing guests Zanzibar the way locals live it — Safari Blue, Stone Town, Paje, or the best sunset spot in Fumba. You're personally welcomed on arrival. Karibu — arrive as a guest, leave as a friend.
