The Milker’s House is a historic farmhouse located on a working dairy farm. Originally built in 1900 for the “Milker” who tended to the Hatcher Family's cows, this home has been recently renovated for modern comfort. Come stay with us for a slower pace of life and plenty of space for the whole family.
Just a short drive from Franklin, Nashville, Columbia, and Murfreesboro, our farmhouse offers easy access to nearby attractions and entertainment.
The space
DOWNSTAIRS
Living Room: Complete with couch, chair and half with ottoman and two wing back slipcovered chairs. Watch all your favorite apps on our Smart TV (personal app log in required) We also provide games for family or friends game night! We also include a photo album of the renovation and Hatcher family photos.
Main Bedroom: A large cozy King bed greets you in our downstairs main bedroom. The room features a dresser with mirror, blackout curtains, ceiling fan, 'The Milker's House' custom robes and vintage bench.
Second Bedroom: Located right off the Main Bedroom, this room is the perfect combination of rustic and feminine. We exposed the original wood walls and left some of the historic layers of wallpaper and newspaper for guest to enjoy. The full bed is perfect for little sleepers to be close during the night- or a great room for a pack and play! Black out curtains will help assure a long night of sleep. Ceiling fan and access to half bath as well.
Half Bath:
Located under the stair well with easy access in the center of the home. Vintage refinished sink and access from 2nd bedroom as well.
Kitchen: Beautiful kitchen with open shelving and a white dish ware for easy access. The kitchen provides everything you will need to make your stay feel like home. Enjoy coffee from our Keurig Coffee maker (we even provide pods!) or make a delicious breakfast on our stainless steel stove. Dining area seats four but can be pulled out from wall to accommodate more guests. A pantry is also provided. We have a Brita Water Pitcher, Ice Cube Trays and Ice storage in the fridge. We also provide plastic children's dishes and cups for our little guests.
Main Bathroom: Original bead-board walls line this adorable farmhouse bathroom. Complete with trough tub and vintage sink. The walk in shower is fully tiled with rain shower head. We provide 'The Milker's House' custom embroidered towels and Williams- Sonoma soap, hand lotion and we even have extra shampoo, conditioner and body wash should you forget anything on your stay! Due to the historic nature of the home, there are no outlets in the main bathroom.
Sunroom Sitting Area: Our sitting area is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. A smart TV is available to stream your favorite shows and basket of toys and books for kids to play.
UPSTAIRS:
Playroom and Sleeping Loft: Upstairs we have a loft area with a small playroom, the slanted ceilings are low so it is a perfect place for little ones to do a puzzle or read a book! We also have a twin bed located in the play area for an additional place to sleep.
Third Bedroom: This room features a full vintage maple bed and designer bedding. The room is spacious but the slanted ceilings are low upstairs due to the historic nature of the home which may not be suitable for very tall guests. We provide a stand alone fan as well and blackout curtains for a restful nights sleep.
Fourth Bedroom: This fun room features two twin beds and vintage decor. Blackout curtains and fan are included in this room as well.
OUTSIDE
The front porch is the perfect spot to watch the world drive by- featuring two vintage wicker chairs and a small table, enjoy your coffee outside in the mornings!
There is also a spacious side deck located right off the kitchen with dining table. The back yard is partially fenced and a great place for kids to play and watch the sunset over the beautiful farm scenery.
We have a Dairy Store located on our farm! You can buy milk, eggs, meat, ice cream, local goods and Hatcher Family Dairy merch! Tours available upon request.
While this home is located on Hatcher Family Dairy guests are not permitted to freely roam the farm. We ask guests to be respectful and stay within fenced in area of rental property and do not climb fences and do not pet the cows.
No Pets. No events. No Smoking. No RV or trailer parking.

Guest access
The property has its own gravel driveway and parking area. There are french doors accessing the kitchen from the deck and parking area, which make loading and unloading easy! No RVs, campers or trailers. No Pets. No events.
Guests are asked to stay within fenced in area of house and do not pet cows. Guests are not permitted to freely roam farm.
