Our home is the only Airbnb in the area, offering a one-of-a-kind stay in a quiet, rural village. With lake in front, green paddy fields all around and a hill standing tall in the backdrop, it’s the kind of place where time slows down. A place to breathe easy and feel close to nature.
Guests are welcome to cook their own meals in the kitchen, or enjoy simple, hearty dishes from a menu lovingly prepared by our housekeeper—just like home, maybe even better.
The space
The cottage comes with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a dining/hangout area. Guests have full access to the entire home, and we host only one group at a time—so there’s no need to share the space with anyone else. It’s your private getaway in nature.

Nestled between four major attractions—Anuradhapura, Dambulla, Sigiriya, and Yapahuwa. We offer day trips to these iconic destinations.
You can also experience the charm of our laid-back village via guided cycling tours through lush paddy fields, cultivations, and serene rural temples. Enjoy peaceful hikes and refreshing baths in uncrowded lakes, away from the usual tourist spots.
Other things to note
The price indicated here includes breakfast. Guests can cook for themselves or order from a menu. Lunch and dinner are priced at USD 6.00 per guest, with children six and under eating free, and children ten and under at USD 3.00 per meal.
Our rooms do not have AC, but they are equipped with fans. All beds are equipped with mosquito nets for full protection. Personally, we enjoy leaving the windows and doors open at night to let the cool lake breeze flow through – it’s refreshing, cools the room and one of the reasons we don’t need air conditioning at all.
If you love being surrounded by nature, The Loft by the Lake is the perfect place to unplug and unwind. However, if you’re very uncomfortable around bugs, frogs, or other little creatures, it’s worth considering whether this kind of setting is right for you
