The space
The Lodge at Shipley Glen in Blackheath is a unique luxury Blue Mountains escape. Completely private, tucked away within a pocket of native bushland and established landscaped gardens.

The house has all the modern comforts including ducted central heating and cooling, a double-sided log fireplace, stunning designer bathrooms (two with bathtubs!), and a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with stone benchtops, brand new appliances and Nespresso machine!
Conveniently located close to Blackheath Village (only 3 minutes drive) and many other key Blue Mountains attractions.

BEDROOM 1:
King size master bedroom with garden views, bedside tables, lamps, walk-in wardrobe and private ensuite bathroom.
BEDROOM 2:
King size bed with access to outdoor balcony, garden views, bedside tables, lamp, dresser drawers and large free-standing wardrobe.
BEDROOM 3:
King size bed with dresser, bedside tables, lamps and views overlooking sandstone escarpments.
SEPARATE STUDIO/BEDROOM 4:
There is also a separate studio space downstairs with a king size bed and ensuite bathroom (with toilet, walk-in shower and basin) which can be made available upon request for bookings of 5 or more guests.
Perfect for families, couples or friends who enjoy each other's company, but also crave a little privacy and their own space at the end of the day!
All freshly laundered bed linen and towels are provided.
BATHROOMS:
The house has two bathrooms upstairs and one ensuite bathroom in the downstairs studio.
The main bathroom has a luxurious deep bath, vanity and basin, toilet and double walk-in shower.
The ensuite bathroom off the master bedroom upstairs also has a deep soaking bathtub, vanity and basin, toilet and walk-in shower.
The third bathroom in the downstairs fourth bedroom/studio space. This is only available for bookings of 5 or more guests.
LOUNGE ROOM:
The lounge room at the heart of the house has a huge, double-sided fireplace, perfect for staying cosy in winter! There is a TV as well as a selection of books, puzzles, playing cards and board games to bring everyone together and make some happy memories.
KITCHEN:
Cooks will love the huge designer kitchen, with brand new appliances and all crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment and utensils provided for you to whip up a family feast. A selection of tea, coffee, condiments and even a Nespresso machine (with pods provided) for the coffee lovers!
OUTDOORS:
The Lodge has two expansive decks upstairs. A perfect spot to enjoy native bird watching, a family meal, a glass of wine or cup of tea overlooking the beautiful bushland surrounding the house.
The main deck has a gas BBQ for alfresco dining under the stars.
There is also an outdoor seating area with firepit at the end of a gravel path with chairs and incredible valley views towards Shipley Plateau.
HEATING & COOLING:
The house has ducted central heating and cooling throughout, as well as a large double-sided log fireplace in the lounge room for the perfect Blue Mountains winter ambience.
LOCATION:
Conveniently located only a short drive (about 3 minutes) to Blackheath village shops, cafes, restaurants and quirky antique stores. A favourite spot for coffee or brunch, and to pick up a one-of-a-kind, locally-made gift or souvenir to take home with you.
The spectacularly scenic Porter's Pass and Centennial Glen bushwalks are only minutes away, as well as scenic lookouts, waterfalls, Blackheath Golf Club and popular wedding venues.
Katoomba, Scenic World, the Grand Canyon, Giant Staircase and the world-famous Three Sisters lookout at Echo Point are only 15 minutes drive away.
The Jenolan Caves, Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens, Mount Victoria and Blackheath are all also easily accessible by car on the Great Western Highway.

Please note the downstairs fourth bedroom/studio space (with king size bed and ensuite bathroom) is only available upon request for bookings of 5 or more guests.
Other things to note
One box of complimentary firewood, fire-starters and matches are provided during the winter months only. Additional bags of firewood and kindling are available from the Blackheath IGA, Mitre 10 or any of the service stations along the highway. Otherwise there is ducted central heating throughout the house to keep you toasty warm!
