The space
Each private yurt has a king-size bed, plush designer seating, full bathroom, kitchenette, dining table, wood-burning fireplace, furnished deck, personal telescope and much more. While yurts are sometimes referred to as tents, The Local Chapter Big Bend yurts are custom built as permanent homes, sealed from the elements and engineered to withstand extreme winds and rain. Each yurt has electricity, running water, and all the conveniences you would expect from first class lodging. The yurts are spaced out across a high mesa, for privacy and views.

• Relax and unwind in an exclusive, adults only environment. We love kids, but sometimes adults deserve a break from the demands and distractions of children.
• The Local Chapter property physically borders Big Bend National Park and offers unobstructed 360-degree mountain views, including the Chisos Mountains and across the Rio Grande River into Mexico.
