The space
Enjoy the sunlight spilling into the North-facing, open plan living and dining area as you enjoy a cuppa from locally-made ceramics. The Kindred is a spacious apartment within a small, upmarket complex in Canberra's most vibrant suburb.

The 120sqm apartment and balcony is located on the first (and uppermost) floor, and its floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the treetops of a well-maintained and established garden on both sides.

Guests love the attention given to details large and small, from quality furniture and art, to a well-equipped kitchen and great water pressure in the showers.

Bedrooms
Both bedrooms are king-sized with large built-in wardrobes, French flax linen on the beds, and lovely outlooks. The master bedroom has a library and an ensuite with step-in shower and large bath.

For maximum flexibility, the second bedroom has a split king bed that can be made up as either a second king-sized bed or two long single beds: please advise your preference upon booking. It also has a desk and chair.

The bedrooms are separated by the second bathroom so there's an extra sense of space and privacy.

Living/Dining
The open plan kitchen, living and dining area faces North and overlooks a giant elm tree. There are plenty of places to sit and lie down, with a daybed drenched in morning sun, and a curated collection of furniture, books and art for you to enjoy. Relax with Netflix and Disney+, read a book or just lie back on the sofa and watch the elm tree sway in the breeze. The living room opens up onto a spacious, 20sqm balcony with outdoor table and chairs, and a reading nook with two armchairs where you can sit under the tree canopy in the dappled sunlight.

Kitchen
If you're keen to stay home and cook, The Kindred is a walk/4 minute drive to the local IGA which is one of Canberra's best providores (we highly recommend their cheese isle). The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils and baking dishes, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, tea, coffee and sugar. It has a 4 burner gas stove, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. For coffee, choose between our Nespresso machine with biodegradable pods, or stroll through Haig Park to one of Lonsdale Street's many coffee shops to hit up one of Canberra's best baristas.

Dine and make lovely memories around the vintage Danish dining table, which seats 6.

Bathroom
The second bathroom comes off the open plan dining and living area, with a separate toilet, shower and laundry facilities including a washer and dryer.

Parking
There's visitor parking right out the front of the apartment entry. There's also a dedicated carpark and additional visitor parking for the apartment in the secure underground parking area. Please note there are 17 steps to walk up to The Kindred from street level.

Bikes
The Kindred is ideally placed for you to explore Canberra by bike: we have two beautiful, vintage-style bikes for our guests to enjoy, together with helmets and a lock. Both are adult-sized: one is step through and the other has a crossbar. They live in the secure garage and you can use them any time.

Guest access
The Kindred is part of a small, boutique complex and is on the upper floor of a two-storey building. Access to the apartment is up 17 stairs, please note that if you're unable to navigate the stairs it would be best to look for alternative accommodation.
