My work: Captain Cas
My biography title: From Cufflinks to Cut Offs!
Captain Cas has been an avid sportsman since he was a young boy. As soon as he could hold a fishing rod he was catching catfish with his father and grandfather on the Suwannee River near Branford, Florida. Also, as soon as he could hold a BB gun he was in the woods trying to bring down squirrels. As he grew up he progressed to a larger rod and reel to fish for bass in the freshwater and red fish and sea trout in the salt water. At the age of ten while fishing for red fish in the waters around Pine Island, Florida he actually caught so many fish that he burned out the ball bearings on his ZEBCO 303 reel. During this same time he spent a lot of time with his grandmother who lived on the banks of the Suwannee and sharpened his hunting skills shooting rabbits which she gladly cooked for him. Captain Cas continued to hone his fishing and hunting skills through his teenage years. He advanced from the Mirrorcraft to a Bomber bass boat and gained more knowledge about fishing for Florida’s largemouth bass as well as returning to his childhood passion of fishing for catfish once in a while. Another of his accomplishments is that he can bring in the scallops during Florida’s bay scallop season. Seldom does he return to the boat without a full bag of scallops. Most of his scalloping trips are in the Gulf of Mexico out of Steinhatchee, Florida. The fishing and hunting skills that he perfected during his early years have made him the sportsman that he is today. He continues to find new ways to improve those skills and is ready to share them with other interested outdoor sportsmen or those that want an experienced guide to teach and or show them. Captain Cas is Coast Guard Certified and a member of: American Bass Angler Captains for Clean Water
