The Grove Cottage is a charming 19th-century farmhouse that has been in my family since the late 1800's.
Set in peaceful countryside just minutes from Killarney and on the doorstep of Killarney National Park, it's the perfect base for hiking, cycling, fishing, exploring Dingle, the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara.
Guests love the tranquil rural setting combined with easy access to Killarney's shops, restaurants, and attractions.

The space
Welcome to The Grove Cottage, a charming farmhouse nestled on Ballycasheen Road beside the River Flesk, just one mile from Killarney town. Combining peaceful countryside surroundings with easy access to local attractions, it is the perfect base for exploring Killarney National Park, the Lakes of Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula, and the Beara Peninsula.
The cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, and Nespresso machine. Complimentary coffee capsules, tea, herbal teas, cooking oils, and a selection of spices are provided for guests' convenience.
After a day of sightseeing or outdoor adventures, relax in the cosy sitting room featuring a wood-burning stove, comfortable seating, books, and board games. Firewood, kindling, and firelighters are all supplied.
The ground floor bathroom includes a thermostatic shower, toilet, washbasin, hairdryer, hair straightener, complimentary toiletries, and fresh towels.
Upstairs, the cottage can accommodate up to five guests across three bedrooms: one double room, one king-size room, and one single bed (only accessed through the king-size room) making it ideal for families travelling with a baby or young child. A travel cot and mattress are also available. The upstairs bathroom includes a thermostatic shower, toilet, and washbasin, complimentary toiletries, and fresh towels.
A separate utility shed houses a washing machine and tumble dryer, with detergent provided. The shed also offers a small but secure storage space for bicycles and outdoor equipment, making it ideal for hikers, cyclists, and adventure race participants.
