The space
The Gilbert House is a great place to stay, relax and use as your home base while you go to all the local activities, events and favorite spots. You can be downtown to Sherman Ave and the CDA Resort in 5 minutes where you will find local shopping, dining, events, the longest floating boardwalk, Tubbs Hill, McEuen Park, the beach, the city park, the Carousel and the lake! There is so much to do downtown!!
Silverwood, Triple Play, Schweitzer and Silver Mountain and so much more are just short drives from the house.
On the first floor you will find a beautiful owners suite bedroom and bath. This room boasts a king size bed with luxury memory foam mattress and bedding. You’ll find your own smart tv mounted to the wall. It also has its own sliding door to access the deck.
The adjoining bath has a walk in tile shower and a free standing modern farmhouse tub. It has great natural light and a beautiful round black framed mirror mounted on a ship lap wall.
The second bedroom also has a king size bed with a luxury memory foam mattress and bedding. This room also has a smart tv and great natural light.
The first floor has a great bright kitchen stocked with everything you would need to cook your favorite meal. It opens into the dining area.
The dining area has a solid wood table with leaves to enlarge it for your needs. We also have extra searing for the table in the closet. The bar counter seats two guests as well. The beverage station in this room has a mini fridge for beverages and a Keurig and hot water kettle for morning coffee and tea! Also there is storage for your favorite wine! The slider door allows this room to open onto the large entertaining deck.
The deck is large and sunny. There is table seating and extra seating for relaxing or eating outside. The propane gas bbq has all the tools for you to cook up some yummy food! The deck has stairs to go down to the large grassy yard. (A fence for the yard will be installed Summer 2022 )
The living room is bright and cheery, yet cozy for tv and conversation time. Comfy sofa, love seat and chairs, as well as a cozy shag carpet for relaxing. A large basket of cozy blankets to use if you are cold in the air conditioning or if you are staying with us in the winter.
When you head down the stairs to the daylight basement you will find a large bright, with natural light, play room! This room has foosball, a game table to play chess/checkers and board games and a cozy seating area with a smart tv and Nintendo switch and a play closet for the little kids with toys. There is a sliding door onto the patio where there is a 6-8 person hot tub. Hot tub while the kids play in the play room! Our past guests say this works so well!
The house, driveway and yard has all the space you need for the recreation toys and equipment that you bring with you, including your boat! Please feel free to use our garage for parking or for the toys you bring with you. There is also an additional dryer in the garage for drying wet beach clothes or snow clothes if you are staying with us in the winter. In the garage you will find a shelf with a cooler and beach towels for your trips to the lake or river.
Enjoy our yard, deck, patio and hot tub! We created all of it for you, our guests to enjoy! We are so happy to share our home with you!

Nice residential neighborhood, with quiet, polite neighbors, close to everything! Close to I-90 and Hwy 95. Downtown Coeur d'Alene is a 5 minute drive or a 2 mile bike ride. A 5 minute drive to the lake as well. Canfield Mountain is a 4 minute drive/ 1.7 mile bike ride away. Costco is a 3 minute drive away.

We live north of Seattle and have been married 35 years. We have 5 grown children and 2 grandchildren. We love spending time as a family, vacationing, celebrating holidays, boating, crabbing, biking, hiking, skiing, and all things outside!
