Neighborhood highlights

Craigellachie lies at the very heart of Speyside. This is the place where the two rivers most closely associated with the whisky industry, the Spey and the Fiddich meet. World renowned distilleries including Macallan, Glenfiddich, Balvenie, Aberlour, GlenAllachie and many more are all within easy reach.

Staying at The Fiddich means you are only a few yards away from the Speyside Way for beautiful riverside walks. Access is just behind the world famous Highlander Inn just over the road and accessible down the driveway to the side of the Inn.

You’ll have great places to eat out literally on your doorstep including The Highlander Inn, Spey Inn at the Craigellachie Hotel, Fiddichside Inn and Craigellachie Lodge all offering a huge selection of whiskies from Speyside and beyond.

The Speyside Way is an excellent (and safe!) way to get to the nearby village of Aberlour either on foot or by cycling. Also very handy for the nearby Fiddichside Inn!

The Rothes Way path linking Craigellachie with Rothes follows the line of the former Morayshire railway, providing a safe, scenic route for walkers and cyclists, avoiding the busy main road between the two communities.

Craigellachie and the nearby villages of Rothes, Aberlour and Dufftown are well served with shops and amenities, so you should find everything you need for your stay.

Only a 15 minute drive away and you enter the Cairngorms National Park where you can explore Glenlivet, Tonintoul, Strathdon and the Lecht ski area. Further south are Grantown on Spey and Aviemore. Balmoral Castle is just over an hours drive away.
