The Drake Barn Apartment is located on 170 forested acres in the heart of Western Kentucky less than a mile from beautiful Kentucky Lake providing ready access to KY Lake, Lake Barkley, Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area, and only 11 miles from the court square in historic downtown Murray KY, home of Murray State University.

The space
Over the years, we have had the privilege of hosting an eclectic array of visitors bound by their passion for the outdoors; Hunters and Fishermen (and women, of course) from, quite literally, all over the world; Lovers of all sorts of water sports; Visitors to the MSU Campus for the wide array of sports and cultural activities provided by the historic, vibrant University Town of Murray; and also, many folks who just wanted to “get away from it all” and enjoy a relaxing bit of the country life!

The Drake Barn is also somewhat unique in that we can handle a relatively large number of guests... ideal for family groups, business retreats, birding parties, water sporting events, etc.

This listing is for the attached, but separate and private, Drake Barn Apartment. The apartment features a studio-like open floor plan with a cozy bedroom area tucked behind a privacy screen, as shown in the photographs. Perfect for couples or small families. The bed sleeps two, and the huge sectional comfortably sleeps two.

Plenty of parking for boats! Open year round! Large cozy wood stove in the Barn Dining Lounge Area along with an Outdoor fire pit with plenty of firewood! AT&T tower has very poor reception but we have free WiFi for AT&T/WiFi calling. Verizon tower service works pretty well.
There is a large screen Satellite TV in Apartment. Plenty of refrigeration/freezer space available. Free ice.
