Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Built in 1887, this former convent has been beautifully renovated to create a unique getaway featuring exposed brick, beautiful hardwood floors, 11-ft ceilings on the first floor, and an abundance of natural light. This house is huge, with 5,400 square feet of living space for your group to enjoy! All bedrooms have queen beds, sitting areas, light-blocking curtains or blinds, and double-paned windows to maintain a quiet and peaceful environment for you. You'll get a great night's sleep!

The space
Each of the three floors has its own new, efficient, and independent heating/cooling system, and the temperature in every bedroom can be adjusted to the preferences of individual guests.

With two large dining rooms and a fully-equipped kitchen, including commercial-grade and artisan coffee supplies, the Convent is perfect for your group.

No parties, please!

Guest access
You'll be able to access the entire house except for a one bed, one bath apartment hidden away on the main floor, which has its own separate entrance and will be vacant during your stay unless you'd like access to it (available for an additional charge of $50 per night).

Other things to note
We share an unfenced backyard and courtyard with the owners of a former Catholic rectory and with some urban farmers who tend parts of the yard. They’re all friends and if you're interested you can even get breakfast made with fresh eggs and vegetables from the urban farm out back at For the Life of the World Café a block away! You’re nestled in the heart of a close-knit community of 100+ people, so it's not unusual to see a few people using the yard.

Neighborhood highlights

Food and Drink:
There are lots of great spots around Norwood to grab food and drinks! A couple favorites within a five minute drive are Gordo’s Pub and Grill (A+ burgers), Starlight Doughnut Lab (delicious small batch donuts), Sugar n’ Spice Diner (amazing breakfast and brunch food), and Factory 52 (brand new and very cool residential and commercial development with several places to grab food, two breweries, and lots of outdoor space). Downtown Cincinnati also has tons of fun bars and restaurants and is a 10-15 minute drive away!

Nature:
Ault Park is a local favorite! This 224-acre park is a fantastic place to jog or enjoy a leisurely stroll on any of its several nature trails. You'll also find picnic facilities, children’s play areas, a beautiful pavilion, impressive lookout point, and gorgeous gardens. Ault Park also is one of the best parks in the city in which to observe the ancient geology of Cincinnati. Xavier University’s campus is also about a mile away and is a beautiful college campus to walk around (Xavier Musketeers basketball games are also a blast!).

Art:
The Cincinnati Art Museum is one of the most prestigious art museums in the country, with over 100,000 works of art. This grandiose building atop an Eden Park hill is well-known for its 19th-century European and American paintings, but also contains numerous other works including an outstanding pottery gallery. And it's free!

Exercise:
Wasson Way is an awesome walking / running / cycling trail that starts about a mile from the Convent near the intersection of Dana Avenue and Montgomery Road and run 3.5 miles east to Old Red Bank Road at the edge of Ault Park. If you want to venture out further the Little Miami Scenic Bike Trail (my personal favorite for exercise :)) runs 78 miles through five counties in southwest Ohio and has access points in eastern and northern Cincinnati!
