THE CABIN IN THE SUMMER...

We want to ensure you have the most comfortable summer vacation in the Bruce!

As you will have noticed in our listing, we built our cabin without air conditioning.

When we designed our home away from home, we aimed to balance some modern amenities while preserving the feeling of being in the woods, enjoying the sights, sounds, and freshness that being away from the city brings.

We also wanted to be mindful of the cabin’s energy consumption and avoid the noise pollution that an AC unit might bring to this serene environment.

To ensure your restful and refreshing stay, the two queen bedrooms have modern ceiling fans, while the queen + bunk room has a portable fan. Additionally, the entire home is equipped with a state-of-the-art HRV system that helps control humidity.

Please feel free to open the windows and sliding doors to regulate the breeze (the cross breeze from the dining room to the primary bedroom is fantastic). You may find that you want to close them in the evening, as the Bruce can cool down significantly at night.

By choosing our cabin, you're embracing an eco-friendly approach to summer living that will allow you to connect with the beautiful Northern Bruce Peninsula.

CABIN WATER

Our well water is tested regularly and is 100% safe to drink. We have a softener and UV system running non-stop. However, you may notice a different taste to well water then you may get in the city!
