All guests must be 21 or older. Affectionately known as "The Box", this is a romantic getaway for water lovers, wine and beer tasters, and peace seekers. Enjoy excellent fishing, kayaking, swimming, and amazing sunsets. 5G Wi-Fi, Netflix, Pandora, and 2 TVs. Due to insurance and AirBnB policies, all guests must be listed on the reservation - even if they're just visiting and not staying overnight. We can't host dogs; please don't ask us to make an exception - we can't.

The space
Down by the water you can enjoy a communal picnic area that you share with another AirBnB listing we host which is a houseboat called RowShell. Both listings allow only two, 21+ yr old guests. The communal area includes: a fire ring complete with ample firewood that's free for you to use, a picnic table, 4 deluxe lawn chairs, a charcoal grill, a gas grill, 2 red kayaks, 2 lifejackets, and 2 floaties. We've been hosting for 7+ years and it's very rare that guests from both listings have tried to use the communal area at the same time, but I want to be completely transparent so you know exactly what to expect. The few times that guests from both listings have been in the picnic area at the same time, have been fun for the guests and allowed them to enjoy meeting some new friends - they've told us this; however, if your goal is absolute privacy, The Box may not be the right fit for you. The Box does have it's own dock separate from the dock that the houseboat is on. And it's a 340 acre lake that connects to 3 other lakes - to me, that's plenty of room for the 4 guests that could potentially try to use the lake at the same time.

Guest access
Rental includes access to entire mobile home, a communal picnic area (see more info under "Property"), and of course the 340 acre Big Fish Lake, plus Big Fish connects to 3 other lakes; so there's plenty of water to explore.

Other things to note
Southwest Michigan is loaded with wineries, breweries, and other fun things to see and do. And when it comes to restaurants, there's a decent one right across the street called The Rock.
