The 1938 Barn is located in the ❤ of Covered Bridge Country in Parke County. You will love the rustic charm of this converted hay barn built in 1938. Come relax by the camp fire or explore our many Covered Bridges and local State Parks. The farm also hosts Henry's Market, a market garden providing fresh meat and vegetables which makes summertime an excellent time to visit!

Please note: There is NO WI-FI, NO CABLE. We have a selection of DVDs. Limited cell service, AT&T works best.

The space
This rustic barn apartment is situated a quarter mile off South SR 59 • 1 mile North of Mansfield. There is a small kitchenette in the apartment equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The entire hay loft is an open area with a pool table and bar seating. It is cleaned between guests, but it is still a barn at heart and the loft is UNCONDITIONED, so you may see some bugs or dust, and it may be hot or cold up there depending on the weather. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy this additional space.

"PETS" Well behaved pets are allowed for $20/Pet cash fee, this may be left upon checkout. If you wish to leave your pet in the apartment while you go out, we only ask that they are caged.

**Please be advised that this is a working farm. It is 80+ years old and we cannot promise you may not see a bug/critter or two, especially during the changing of seasons and during harvest. If things like this may bother you then a hotel may be best for you. We have a large garden and a few farm animals that need daily attention so you may see someone feeding or accessing the attached garage that houses our processing area and tools. We try to give our guests privacy and we generally just wave and say hello. If you need anything at all we're happy to help, just send is a message or flag us down if you see us. Chances are if its gardening season we're ready to load you up with some fresh veggies.

Also, there is NO Wi-Fi and limited cell service so please plan accordingly. There is a TV with a selection of DVDs but NO CABLE And again, it is a barn. We clean regularly but you will see bug, dust, etc. This is not the holiday inn but sure to be an experience.

Guest access
Go ahead and pull right up in front of the porch for parking. There is a lock box located next to the front door to open the front padlock. Once inside the entry way the apartment door is directly on your right.

Bringing a boat or RV? No problem, there is plenty of space for parking and maneuvering.

Other things to note
This listing indicates it is for the whole home, and you will have the entire apartment as well as use of the upstairs space. You will NOT be sharing the space with any other guests. HOWEVER, as noted above this barn is located on an active farm and also houses our equipment and processing area that is accessed separately by the garage doors.

Also there is NO Wifi and limited cell service so please plan accordingly. And again, it is a barn. We clean regularly but you will see bug, dust, etc.
