Refurbished to the highest standard. Our 300yr old stone & thatch roofed cottage is a unique piece of Irish history brought back to life with private garden.
Located on the Rush to Skerries rd this fantastic location means your only mins walk from the town with lots of shops, cafes, bars & restaurants, 2 stunning beaches & harbour.
Explore further with bus stop on our doorstep or train a few mins drive, taking you to Dublin City or a host of pretty coastal towns of Malahide, Howth or Skerries.
The space
Old world charm meets modern luxury. A large open plan living space with kitchen including over, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine & everything else you might need. There is also a bar are, so pour a drink, sit on a bar stool & relax listening to music from a vintage record player. The dining area has a wicker & glass dining set for four. As the fireplace was traditionally always the heart of the home in an Irish cottage the living area takes advantage of this. The large fireplace has been fully restored & even retains the original chimney pot crane which was used to hook pots on so food could be cooked over the open fire. Two couches each of which opens to a small double bed (suitable for two children or one adult each, 110cm wide (3foot8inches) x 195cm (6foot5inches) & large flat screen tv.
The main bedroom with king sized bed has a contemporary feel with the addition of an exposed stone wall & fireplace, the perfect mix of old & new. The en suite is accessed by a rustic custom built stairs with rattan rope handrail in keeping with our seaside theme being so close to the beach. This bathroom has a Victorian roll top bath with bath tv, where you can relax in a bubble bath watching your favourite movie (via Chrome cast) plus a large walk in shower.
In addition above the living room there is a mezzanine level accessed by a vintage spiral stairs. This area has a double bed with feather duvet and WC with toilet & sink.
Located in the beautiful seaside town of Rush, Co Dublin. Excellent location with two stunning beaches & the town only mins walk. Explore further, take the bus or train to popular towns of Skerries, Malahide, Howth or the city.

There is so much to do so close to the cottage its the perfect base, its just about finding the time to fit it all in.
Less than 5mins walk from the cottage there are two stunning beaches, Perfect for a swim, walk or picnic by the sea.

Our neighbouring seaside town of Skerries 8mins bus ride away is a hive of activity especially in the summer on the popular harbour. With a host of fantastic bars & restaurants all with outside seating its the perfect spot to enjoy a bite to eat while watching the sun set over the sea, one of the only locations on the east coast of Ireland to do so. Explore the boutique shops, artisan cafes, ice-cream shops, take a tour of the 12th century restored water mills & weekend farmers market. Looking for an adventure, theres also the opportunity to walk out to one of the 3 islands off the coast. During very low spring tides this Island is accessible by foot!
The 18th Century Ardgillan Castle is a 15min bus ride from the cottage & a great place to spend an afternoon. Originally built in 1738 with the most specular 180degree views over the Irish coast & stunning walled gardens is a must see. Tour the castle, walk the extensive gardens & lands, visit the cafe, gift shop, playground, fairy trail & take in the picturesque setting. During the summer they also host Chapterhouse Theatre Company productions in the gardens, bring along a picnic & enjoy.
A short 12min drive a world of fun & adventure awaits on a 75 acre site.
Courtlough - With activities such as clay pigeon & rifle shooting, archery, paintball, aerial trekking, zip lining, wall climbing & lots more team & family experiences.
