You will stay in a rustical cabin which is located on the top of the Teufelsmühle mountain in a Black Forest National Park. This is a perfect place for photographers, hikers, mountain-bikers and people who love nature.
The space
The 75 sqm rustical apartment with 2 bedrooms is located on a 908m high mountain which lies between the valleys of the Murg in the west and the Alb in the east. It is easily accessible by car and you can enjoy a vast choice of mountain-bike and hiking trails. In addition, there is a lookout tower next to the cabin, from which, when the visibility is good, you can view over the whole scenery. On the ground floor of the cabin is a restaurant, it is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 to 18:00, and offers few dishes, cakes and drinks.
Guest access
You will have an apartment with two bedrooms, living room, dining room, bathroom and kitchen in a mountain cabin which consists of 3 apartments in total and a restaurant on the ground floor. You will be able to park your car in a courtyard with video surveillance and use grill on the terrace of the restaurant.
There are two mountain bikes (10Euro/day) and one e-bike (50Euro/day) available.

You are booking a mountain cabin in the middle of nowhere.
There are no shops, restaurants, no entertainment around, only beautiful, protected nature preserve with a sightseeing tower. Closest town is about 10 km away.
The house is off-the-grid - drinking water is being carried up by us, electricity is generated using solar panels, wastewater is cleaned using our own sewage treatment plant, heat is made with firewood - it is not easy for us to provide conditions that people usually see as something obvious, but we try as hard as we can. We would appreciate if you would keep that in mind and be as energy efficient as possible.
Since we get quite a few non-5-star ratings, because people don't read the description carefully, here is the password you should send to us in a message: "Top of the World". This password will be necessary to stay here.
We suggest checking the weather forecast before booking, because when the weather is bad in the city, it is way worse up here on the mountain - temperature is colder and winds are much stronger, clouds might be so thick that you can hardly walk.
Please also note, that we have 6 cats on the premises. They do not enter the guest apartment, but mostly live outside.
