Private room with en-suite bathroom and independent entrance in a mountain boutique guesthouse.
The room is compact and calm, with warm light and a thoughtfully designed interior. It features a comfortable bed and a balcony with forest and mountain views. Guests have shared access to the gardens, patio, BBQ area, and a warm outdoor bathtub.
Those interested can optionally join the Stone Oven House cultural association to take part in shared art dinners, sauna sessions, and cultural events.
The space
Stone Oven House is a small mountain guesthouse that combines a cultural art residence with a limited number of carefully designed guest rooms.
The house functions both as a lived-in place and as a space for artistic and cultural activity. At the same time, guest rooms are prepared with the level of comfort and attention typical of a boutique guesthouse, with a strong focus on materials, light, sleep quality, and practical details.
The atmosphere here is calm, thoughtful, and human-scaled, shaped by nature, everyday life, and ongoing creative work rather than by formal hotel services.
Guest access
Guests have access to a wide range of shared indoor and outdoor spaces across the property.
Sauna and outdoor bath
All guests have access to a warm outdoor bathtub. This is not a jacuzzi and not a hydromassage bath. It is a simple outdoor bathtub that can be filled with hot water and enjoyed with a view of the forest, intended for calm relaxation in a natural setting.
A wood-fired sauna is located on the property and is shown in the photos. Use of the sauna is not included in the room price. It is available to guests who choose to join the Stone Oven House cultural association. Membership is valid for the entire calendar year, takes only a short time to arrange, and also provides access to other cultural activities and events at the art residency.
Outdoor areas and nature
Guests are welcome to enjoy:
– gardens, terraces, balconies, and outdoor seating areas
– forest paths and open fields with panoramic views
– a garden with berries and fruit, which guests may enjoy depending on the season
– BBQ area on the terrace
There are also children’s play areas with sand and toys, suitable for younger guests.
Common indoor spaces
Guests have access to:
– a shared kitchen and an outdoor kitchen
– an open loft and common areas
– many quiet and cosy corners suitable for reading, working, or relaxing
The property also features an old stone oven. From time to time, we light it to bake pizza, bread, or other dishes. If you are interested, please let us know in advance. This depends on timing and is not a daily activity.
Shared spaces are informal and flexible. Guests are free to socialize or enjoy privacy at their own pace.
During your stay
Stone Oven House is a lived-in place and an active cultural residence. We live on the property year-round and are usually around.
During your stay, there may be other guests, visiting artists, or members of our family on the property. Interaction is natural and unforced. Guests are welcome to socialize, but privacy and personal space are always respected.
We are available if needed and happy to help, while fully respecting guests who prefer independence, quiet time, and their own rhythm.
Other things to note
Stone Oven House has a variable rhythm throughout the year.
At certain times, we host cultural events, workshops, or gatherings, and the house can be more lively, with more people and visiting artists. At other times, there are no events, and the atmosphere is very quiet, with only a few people on the property.
Guests are welcome to check our event schedule in advance and plan their stay accordingly — either to visit during a more active period or to choose quieter dates for maximum calm and isolation. Both experiences are possible here.
We guarantee that rooms are clean, comfortable, and carefully prepared for each guest. At the same time, the areas around the house are part of a living place and an evolving art residence. From time to time, you may notice restoration, maintenance, or creative work as part of an ongoing process.
The surroundings reflect the atmosphere of a mountain village rather than a perfectly manicured resort.
This is a rural mountain environment and an active village, where everyday life, nature, and seasonal changes are part of the experience.
Public transport is limited. A car can be convenient, but it is not strictly necessary. We can help with organizing transfers if needed.
