The space
Imagine waking with the sunrise streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows, coffee in hand, watching the forest come alive from your queen bed. The Taoist is an off-grid A-frame tucked beneath a 50-foot limestone cliff in Red River Gorge — quiet, intimate, and built for two (or four).

Inside, sink into the double papasan in the warm-wood living room, then climb the ladder to a loft queen tucked beneath a canopy. The kitchen handles everything you need with a bar-top, induction cooktop, and full coffee station — no oven, just the essentials done well.

Outside, your private firepit sits among natural boulders beneath the cliffs, with a sun deck for morning coffee and starlit nights. Whether it's an anniversary, a milestone birthday, or a long-overdue reset, The Taoist is where memories settle in.

This home is not set up specifically for children or infants. We gladly allow children of all ages but we do not have baby gates, outlet covers, or pack-n-plays available in these units.

Our well water is filtered and safe for consumption, however, some guests may prefer to bring their own water.

*4X4 or AWD required* - Very steep gravel road.

The responsible person who books each reservation will be asked to review, sign and return a rental agreement prior to accessing the cabin.
