The space
This listing at Starview Ranch includes:

The Main House is at the top of the property with 3 bedrooms, laundry room, full kitchen and 1 full bathroom (bathroom 1 - please note that there is only one bathroom inside the main house). There is an expansive front patio, a wisteria covered patio off the sun bedroom and the back patio has a large dining table with stunning views of the Sierras. Just a short walk from the back is a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and benches. Sleeps 6-8.

The wellness area is located 400 ft downhill from the main house and includes a 75 ft lap pool, 8 person jacuzzi, wood burning sauna imported from Finland, cabana with a toilet, sink and shower (bathroom 2), seating for 14, a large gas grill and a 400 sq ft fully equipped gym.

Please note: this property is 45 minutes from a grocery store so advanced meal planning is advised.

Starview Ranch is home to 3 cows and there is an apiary with active beehives situated well away from the houses.

There are trails and interesting paths to walk around Starview Ranch. Feel free to explore around the property. You can give the cows some apples and watch the bees at the apiary but keep a safe distance from the hives and be aware that the fence surrounding the bees is electrified.

The main driveway along the property is an easement road to a neighboring property. No one is currently living there but rarely a vehicle may drive through.

The "sunset spot" near the garden is the perfect place to enjoy views of gorgeous sunsets over Squaw valley (even better with a glass of wine).

I would like to remind guests that this property is out in the beautiful wilderness. You are in the great outdoors. If doors or windows (without screens) are left open then critters and bugs tend to find their way in. I recommend only opening up the screened windows and ensuring doors are not left open. Also, no matter how rigorously the homes are cleaned (and I take cleaning very seriously) there may be some dead bugs or a small cobweb that was created in the short time from cleaning to your check in... again this is just a fact of life on a 50 acre ranch in the middle of nowhere.

Starview Ranch is located in a remote area in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The drive to the property from either Kings Canyon Drive or from the 245 involve curvy mountain roads with switchbacks and sharp turns which can also be narrow in some places. Also, the drive to Kings Canyon National Park is a windy mountain road.

The 3 cows on the property will keep their distance but are generally friendly. They will be even more friendly if you offer them apples ;)
Also, cow pies are just part of the charm of life at Starview Ranch.

*** IMPORTANT: The fireplace, sauna and fire pit cannot be used during summer months when the fire risk is high. One spark could be disastrous. The gas BBQ grill at the wellness area can be used year-round.

One last piece of advice:
Pack and wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little dusty/ dirty. Again, it’s part of the charm.
