Sunset Rock Cabin is a newly built, cabin style home that's tucked back away from the road. It has a trail through the woods on the back of the property that leads to a private, stunning overlook of the surrounding hollers and rock walls, looking west towards the setting sun. Look for rock climbers, enjoy the firepit, and relax with some solitude in this peaceful, private setting.

The overlook makes for a stunning place to have a small elopement ceremony as well, contact me for details.

The space
The cabin is an open floor plan, with a great room and open loft that looks out upon massive picture windows to the woods and cliffs to the west.

Two bedrooms with queen beds on the main floor, with a full bathroom attached to the master bedroom and a full bathroom in the hallway.

The great room is a large open area with a fully stocked kitchen with everything for cooking an awesome meal for your friends and family. There's a large island, ample cookware, and the freezer does have an ice maker.

Across from the kitchen is a dining area with seating for 4, plus two seats at the kitchen island.

The living room area has a powered, reclining couch, along with a cushy recliner, large screen TV, record player, and bluetooth sound bar sitting atop a massive gas fireplace.

Upstairs is the open loft, with an 8-foot pool table in front of two bar seats and cocktail table. The futon converts from seated to sleeping position with simple lift of the back. A small glider and lamp makes for a perfect little reading nook with views out of the picture windows. Two yoga mats are available and the loft makes for a great space to stretch out.

Outside you'll find a wrap-around deck, covered on one side, surrounded by trees on the ridge, with views of hollers and rock walls peeking through during the winter. A hammock, padded loveseat, ottoman, and chairs and coffee table are perfect for morning coffee.

Just down from the cabin is a firepit that is perfect for cool nights and social gatherings. Two camp chairs are provided, found in the closet.

A 1-minute walk down from the cabin leads through the woods and reveals two stunning overlooks to the southwest and northwest, with wild blueberries everywhere in mid-summer. This trail is moderately steep in places, with some roots and rocky steps, plus there are 100-foot drop offs. Explore at your own risk.

Miguel's Pizza, Natural Bridge State Park, the Gorge Underground, and more are all within about a 10 minute drive.

This is a great place for an elopement! If you're interesting in holding a small ceremony or elopement here, please mention that making a booking inquiry.

The entire cabin is yours to use, with a few exceptions:

Laundry appliances are only for use by guests staying longer than 3 nights.

Please stay out of the knee walls in the loft (they should be locked) as well as the crawlspace underneath the cabin.

Other things to note
Be sure to check the list of amenities if there's something specific that's a "must have" for your stay, or just send me a quick message with your questions! There is currently no hottub or outdoor grill here.

Rock climbers: there's a stick clip on the porch you're welcome to use during your stay!
