Welcome to Sunset Cove, your relaxing family-friendly home on beautiful Lake of the Ozarks! We are located on the "quiet end" of the lake - better for tubing, skiing, kayaking, etc. With plenty of waterfront, a vaulted living room, and a game room, there is space and fun for everyone! The 1.4 acre property is fairly flat, which means just a few steps to the water. Or, take the sloped path around for no steps!
The space
We are located on the "quiet end" of the lake at the 61 MM, with a private dock tucked into a semi-private cove and over 250’ of waterfront, all on a gentle sloping 1.4-acre lot. If you want space and quiet for your family, this is the spot!

• Private dock: Two 10x24 slips - pedal boat - 2 kayaks - Stand Up Paddle board - swim platform with lounge chairs - water slide - large lily pad, life jackets, and assorted floats (all included at no extra charges)

• Level parking for 6 vehicles – no steep driveway
• Gentle sloping lot means very few steps to reach the water

• Wood burning fireplace in vaulted living room

• TV in every bedroom plus living room
• Dedicated workspace: desk + chair
• Washer & dryer included in your stay
• Extra refrigerator
• Tankless water heater - never run out of hot water!
• Central AC, plus ceiling fans throughout
LAYOUT:
• 3 bedrooms on main level: king, king, and queen
• 2 bedrooms upstairs: each with queen bed and twin over full bunk bed, plus a twin floor mattress (each bunk room sleeps up to 5)
• 2 bathrooms on main level: each with step-in shower, one is a continental ensuite (connected to bedroom + hallway)
• 1 bathroom upstairs: shower tub, double vanity sinks
FAMILY AMENITIES:
• Pack n Play
• Rocking chair
• Baby gate
• Toddler dishes + bibs
• Highchair
• Booster seat for dining table
• Step stool + potty-training seat
• Children’s books + toys
• Door alarms for use at your discretion for additional safety
With your little ones in mind, we chose cordless window blinds throughout the house and installed anti-tip wall anchors on dressers. The bathtub even has a removable shower head for easy rinsing!
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house and outside area, including the yard and dock.
Guests do not have access to the garage, but may park in front of it. Owners may stop by from time to time to retrieve personal items from the garage, but will not disturb guests.
Guests do not have access to a locked owners closet on the second floor.
Other things to note
The dock slip availability depends on the lake's water level, which is typically lower during the winter and spring months. Please reach out to us ahead of time if you plan on using the dock and are unsure about its availability. We may have a boat slip available for you to use at a local marina.
While there are other homes around, the area is somewhat remote when it comes to services. There are essential groceries and a few restaurants close by, but we recommend bringing groceries with you. Our Local Guide will provide all the details!
We provide one bag of coffee and a box of tea to get you started. You may wish to bring more, to last throughout your stay. We also provide a limited supply of basic spices, salt and pepper, and cooking oil.
As parents ourselves, we have tried to think of everything that would make your stay as easy as possible with your children. We strive to provide safe, clean equipment, but everything is to be used at your discretion and children must be supervised at all times. Please let us know if you would like any of the baby equipment set up ahead of your arrival.
There is parking for comfortably 6 vehicles and/or boat trailers. Please, only park on the gravel parking area outside the garage. DO NOT PARK on the south side of the house to avoid damage to the septic system.
The dock currently does not have electricity on it. We hope to make this upgrade in the future. There are solar-powered lights that come on at dusk for your safety and a nice ambience!
