Kilifi is located on the Kenya north coast, half-way between Mombasa and Malindi, the Indian Ocean enters into the mainland forming a deep inlet, which is known in English as a "creek". In its narrowest part a few hundred meters from the sea a bridge connect Mnarani to Kilifi, further inland the creek widens into a big lake and divides into dozens of channels, many of them are navigable with canoe. About 50 meters in front of the property, one of the several sandy cove beaches around the creek, on this beach was shot by french film director Philippe de Broca the well known french movie "L' Africain" with Catherine Deneuve and Philippe Noiret in 1983. The large verandah is facing west, and is overlooking a beautiful tropical garden, peaceful area for bird watching. Fishermen will come to the gate to offer their day catch ( e.g. fish, lobster, prawns, crabs, etc.) Our gardener will take you around the garden to explain the different species of tropical trees & plants, also he will be pleased to take you to Giriamas villages nearby. Best spot for all water sports, sailing, wakeboarding, windsurfing at Mnarani with 3 degree south and Kitesurf village on Bofa beach spot with the Salty's kitesurf school.

We are located at about 500 meters from Distant Relatives Ecolodge Kilifi backpackers community bar & restaurant. The bar is always fully stocked with the best Kenyan beers, French and South African wines and all kinds of British spirits. Don't miss Friday pizza night !
