Listing highlights
In rural Missouri, near the river
A mile walk from the cabin leads to the river, with gravel roads and farmland along the way
Fire pit and outdoor grill
A fire pit with wood provided and a BBQ grill for cooking outdoors under the stars
A stay on a working farm
A working farm with chickens and cattle, plus a guided farm tour included with every stay
Sometimes a cabin in the country is all you need to relax and recharge.
Relax watching the animals, take a nap in the hammock under the hickory tree, or go down and enjoy the river.
If you are looking for a place with solitude and inspiration for painting, writing, or other artistic expression, you're sure to find it here.
Each visit comes with a farm tour to familiarize you with our property and animals. We’re a working farm, so your and our animals’ safety is very important to us.
The space
The cabin has a Double bed and a Double futon. There is a kitchen space with a mini-fridge, coffee and coffee pot, water dispenser, and microwave.
The full bathroom with shower is located inside the main house, just down the path from the cabin.
A/C and heating are available, or on nice nights, use the ceiling fan with open windows.
Outside, there is a firepit (conditions permitting) with a stack of wood provided and a BBQ grill for your use (bring your charcoal) for cozy dinners under the stars.
Inside the main house is access to a full bathroom with shower and linens.
Other things to note
This is a working farm; depending on the season, there may be a variety of animals including chickens and cattle, close by.
We ask that you do not feed the animals or go into any fenced areas or buildings.
If you would like to schedule a Chore Experience where you can have more interaction with the animals, we'd be happy to schedule that.
We do sell our farm products (chicken, beef, pork, eggs) so please bring a cooler if you would like to take some goodies home with you.
